"Yeah, follow me." Damien said, putting the leftover pizzas in the fridge and taking Jessica to the basement. There was a couch and an old TV. "I'm going to stay with you for a few more hours, and leave at midnight."

Jessica swallowed and nodded. "Right. Okay. Got it." She said weakly, curling up on the couch. "...what exactly is going to happen, anyway?"

 

[YellowJedi]

Damien sat next to Jessica. "I don't know." he admitted. "But if you want me to stay with you, I'll do it."

 

[tamaturtle]

"Well, I doubt you're all going to sit and talk with the humans." Jessica rolled her eyes. "And I'll be find."

 

[YellowJedi]

"Oh..." Damien sighed, honestly wanting to stay with Jessica.

 

[tamaturtle]

"Look, it's a while until midnight." Jessica pointed out. "And you said you were staying until then..."

 

[YellowJedi]

"I know, I'm just not really looking forward to it." Damien admitted.

 

[tamaturtle]

"Well, that's a bit different to the vampire I was talking to earlier." Jessica said, giving a small laugh as she adjusted a battered cushion. "Any reason? Not all humans are as awesome as me, you know."

 

[YellowJedi]

"I'm afraid if I leave something will happen to you." Damien admitted.

 

[tamaturtle]

"As much as I hate to say this, you'll be focused on everywhere else. They won't search your house, but if you stay here, they might."

 

[YellowJedi]

"But if they sense your presence, you're done for." Damien pointed out.

 

[tamaturtle]

"Again, why would they be near your house? You live in the middle of nowhere." Jessica argued. "I dunno, say you've got a pet or something in the basement who you don't want to be touched."

 

[YellowJedi]

Damien sighed. "Fine, but if anything happens to you I'll never forgive myself." he said softly, before looking at the clock. There was about an hour left before he would have to leave.

"I know." An awkward silence, before Jessica asked "So why exactly are you waging war on us humans anyway?"

 

[YellowJedi]

"Revenge." Damien shrugged like it was no big deal.

 

[tamaturtle]

"Oh god. Is this about those old stories again?"

 

[YellowJedi]

"Well, they aren't just stories. The humans nearly made us extinct."

 

[tamaturtle]

"Really? I find that hard to believe." Jessica frowned. "Then again, I only know a few of the stpries..."

 

[YellowJedi]

"I'm sure the humans changed them around to make you guys the heroes." Damien sighed.

 

[tamaturtle]

"Well, duh. You guys are the weird monsters." Jessica said, not caring about offending Damien. "Were you, uh, alive back then?"
