Sakura smirked. "You're right. I win." she said triumphantly, keeping L from getting up.

L tilted his head to the side, still staring at Sakura. "I...I lose? But not if you get up and let me fight." He tried to push himself up again.

Sakura kept L pinned down. "Nope, I'm not gonna let you up. Therefore, I win."

 

[.chasm.]

L lifted his free hand to his mouth, still trying to sit up. "That's cheating."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura placed her hands on L's shoulders, pushing him gently down to keep him on the floor. "Nuh uh."

 

[.chasm.]

L let his hand fall to his side, still staring up at Sakura with owl eyes. "It's cheating," he repeated, drawing his knees up. "That means that I should win."

 

[nokotchi]

"No, because i was actually able to pin you and keep you down, that means I win." Sakura told L with a smirk.

 

[.chasm.]

L shook his head. "You cheated," he said yet again, still trying to sit up. "I win by default."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura still didn't let L up. "How'd I cheat?" she asked, shifting so that she was actually sitting on L's stomach. "All I did was pin you down and win."

 

[.chasm.]

L tilted his head again, reaching up to put his hands on Sakura's shoulders and try to push her off. "You cheated."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura didn't budge whatsoever. "I'm not letting you up until you say I won."L

Light just sat there, waiting for things to be settled.

 

[.chasm.]

L stared at Sakura with wide eyes, still resting his hands on her shoulders. "I don't say that, though."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura shrugged. "Then... I guess we'll be here for a long time and we won't be able to work on the case."

 

[.chasm.]

"So you would sabotage the case for the sole purpose of annoying me?" L asked, tilting his head. "Have you been talking to Light recently? It sounds like something he would do."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura scowled at L when he said this. "I'm nothing like Light and I wouldn't do things the way he does." Sakura then thought of something. "Say I win or no cake for a week."

 

[.chasm.]

"You can't do that," L said simply, sounding more like it was a fact than a protest. He pulled Sakura down slightly, still staring at her.

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura grinned. "Yes I can." she responded.

Light thought of this as an opportune moment for a short nap and slid his eyes shut.

 

[.chasm.]

L pulled Sakura closer and tried to roll her off his stomach. "No you can't," he said calmly. "I'll find a way to eat some."

 

[chollands]

Near finally arrived in Japan and called Mello.

"He better pick up..."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura still didn't budge. "Yes I can, I'll hide all of it. Get rid of it, even."

Light fell asleep quickly, relishing every second of rest.
