Sakura allowed herself to be pulled around. She looked around at all the cakes and spotted a shortcake with pale pink frosting and strawberries covering the top. "How about that one? " She asked, pointing to the particular cake.
Sakura shrugged, still looking around. "I dunno, you can pick out the rest." Sakura let her eyes wander to the small section of assorted cookies. "Meanwhile, I think I'm going to buy myself a small treat."
L dropped Sakura's hand and walked away quickly, hunching over even more than usual and staring around at the cakes. "Can we get that one?" he asked, pointing at a cake.
Sakura was crouched in front of the cookies, looking over them all. She turned to L and peered at the cake he was pointing at. "Alright, two more." She turned back to the cookies and started picking out a few.
Sakura nodded, walking up to the register. "Alright, I'll have the cookies you just grabbed for me... Also, these four cakes." She told the lady behind the counter, pointing out the four cakes they had decided on.
L stood up again, hunching over the counter and resting his chin on it. "Are we going back now, then?" He glanced up at the woman behind the counter, not risking saying 'headquarters' in case it attracted any questions
Sakura grabbed the cakes and the cookies when the lady handed them to her. "Thank you." She handed the money off and turned to look at L, balancing the pile of cakes in her arms and clutching the bag of cookies tightly in her hand. "Yeah... I'll just go out later and get the shampoo..."
L nodded walking out of door in front of Sakura. "You could just use Light's for now, I think. He won't notice." He held the door open with one hand, sliding his shoes off and picking them up with his other hand.
L let the door close, walking back down the street. "Which one would use it? Mello?" He lifted his hand to his mouth and started to chew on his thumb again.
Sakura let out a light laugh. "It wouldn't surprise me if he actually did. He's such a freak about his hair." Sakura peeked around the edge of the pile of cake boxes. She followed behind L in this awkward position, often leaning from one side to another.
L walked ahead, sucking on his thumb. "I think we should set up a schedule where Wedy updates us about the suspect," he said, more to himself than to Sakura. He looked back up at her. "I guessed that from the past couple of days. Does he use straightners or something?"
L stood in front of the elevator and waited, chewing his thumb. "If you're going to attack Matt now, can you put the cakes down safely before you do it?"
Sakura walked into the elevator when the doors opened. "Don't worry about it. I know how much you looovvvee your cake. I'll put it in the kitchen before I beat the s**t outta Matt." She brought her foot up once more, pressing the buttons.
