"We will contact you in seven days," the man continued. "Unless something happens to the prisoner before then." With that, L tapped on the keyboard again and the screen went blank.

Matt groaned in pain, swinging his arm out and trying to hit Mello

Sakura sat back in her chair, wanting the thirteen days to be over right then and there. She stared thoughtfully at the blank screen and ran through the thoughts in her head.

Mello dodged Matt's hit with a smirk.

L turned in his seat, looking around at Mogi. "We need someone to take Watari's position. I can't have people contacting me directly."

Matt growled, pouncing on Mello.

Sakura sighed and bit her lip, trying to get her mind off the Death Note testing.

Mello grunted and tried to push Matt off him.

L was silent for a few minutes, staring at the desk, then he turned to Matsuda. "You need to contact Wammy's House again."

Matt smirked, sliding to the side and pushing Mello towards the edge of the sofa.

 

[nokotchi]

"Oh! I'll do it! Matsuda, don't worry about it." Sakura said quickly, happy she found something to keep her mind busy.

Mello gave up and scowled over at Matt.

L stared back up at the screens. "There should be contact information somewhere on the desk, if you don't know it already." He chewed on his lip, scanning the screens.

Matt smirked and jabbed Mello in the side, trying to push him off.

Sakura didn't respond to L and just began typing rapidly.

Mello forgot all about giving up the instant Matt jabbed him. "THAT TEARS IT!" he yelled, tackling Matt.

L glanced at Sakura again, sliding his chair a bit closer to her. "We need to ask Roger or one of the others to come over."

Matt yelled out, trying to put Mello away.

Sakura nodded, "Alright.. No problem.." she muttered, continuing to type.

Mello pinned Matt. "Are you done?" he asked angrily.

L rested his chin on his knees again, looking back up at the screens. "You still smell like strawberries," he muttered. "Is there any strawberries in the kitchen?"

"Finished what?" Matt asked, still struggling

Sakura nodded. "I think we do... Go check."

"Fighting." Mello replied bluntly.

 

[.chasm.]

L stared at Sakura for a second, widening his eyes, then slid off his chair and walked towards the kitchen. "When do we take the cookies out?"

"I'll make no promises," Matt said, twisting about in Mello's grip.

Sakura stood and walked toward the kitchen. "Right about now, actually."

Mello let Matt go and took out a chocolate bar, taking a few bites.

 

[.chasm.]

L turned around to stare at Sakura. "Can we eat them now, then?" he asked, chewing him thumb and smiling slightly.

Matt scrambled up. adjusting his goggles and sliding away from Mello.

 

[nokotchi]

"You can in a few minutes." She told him, walking into the kitchen. She turned off the oven and slipped on an oven mitt, opening the oven and pulling out the cookie sheet.

Mello smirked and crossed his legs.

 

[.chasm.]

L ignored what Sakura had just said and shot forwards when she took the cookie sheet out, picking up a cookie straight away. "It's hot," he muttered, trying to keep hold of it.

Matt scowled at Mello, reaching over and snatching the chocolate out of his hands.

 

[nokotchi]

"Ryuuzaki!! Put that down!! You'll burn yourself otherwise!" Sakura shouted, snatching the cookie away from L and quickly placing it on the cookie sheet.

Mello yelled out and jumped at Matt, trying to reach his chocolate.

 

[.chasm.]

L put his fingers to his lips, looking at Sakura. "I was going to eat that," he said, reaching out again with his other hand.

Matt grinned, leaning back and holding the chocolate right up. "I'm having this."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura smacked L's hand away. "Just wait a few damnn minutes so you don't burn yourself!" she paused for a moment then grinned. "I thought you wanted to make frosting anyways....."

Mello took this opportunity to grab Matt's DS and tuck it away. "Then I'm having this."
