L nodded, walking into the main room. He looked over at the desks, then headed over to them, crouching down on his chair. "What's that?" he asked, looking at Light.

Light snapped his attention to L. "Oh, this? It's a list of more possible suspects...." he lied smoothly.

Sakura poked Mello. "Hey, I'll take over." she said.

Mello nodded and stood, walking over to the couch and plopping down next to Matt.

"Can I see it, then?" L aksed, staring at Light and pulling the sugar bowl towards him. "If they're suspects, we should set up more surveillence in their houses."

Matt didn't even look up at Mello as he sat down in the sofa, playing on his DS and holding a cigarette in between his teeth.

Light silently cursed L and himself for not thinking it through. "It's highly unlikely, though." he muttered, holding out the small list for L. Fortunately, there were still many places to look for people to be the new Kira.

Sakura plopped down in her chair, beginning to look over the monitors.

Mello prodded Matt. "Do you ever take a break from that thing?"

L held the list up between his finger and thumb, looking down the names quickly, then dropped the paper in front of Mogi. "We should watch these people for a while, by a tail, then decide whether to put them under surveillence."

"Yeah," Matt muttered, keeping his mouth closed so he didn't drop the cigarette. "When I'm asleep."

Light sighed, leaning back in the chair he was in.

Sakura continued to silently watch the monitors.

Mello sighed, continuing to prod Matt to annoy him. "Matt, Matt, hey Matt."

L slid his chair closer to Sakura, looking up at the monitors. "Did you find any more important rules?" he asked, not looking back at Mello.

"What?" Matt muttered, his eyes still glued to the DS.

Mello shook his head. "No, nothing out of the ordinary."

Sakura glanced over at L and back at the monitors, still staying quiet.

Light stood and left the room.

"Nothing out of the ordinary for a death notebook?" L asked, pushing his thumb to his lip again. He looked over at Sakura. "You still smell like strawberries," he said quietly.

Matt looked up from his game. "What?"

Mello looked over at L. "You know what I meant..." he growled. He then turned to Matt. "Hi..."

Sakura rolled her eyes at L. "That's lovely, Ryuuzaki..."

L slid even closer to Sakura, resting his chin on his knees. "It is," he said quietly. He looked over as Mogi turned to him.

"Ryuuzaki, there's someone who was trying to reach Watari. It's abut testing the Death Note." L nodded.

"Okay, Mogi, you take over surveillence again while I take this."

Matt scowled at Mello, kicking him, then sat up and watched L.

Sakura turned to L, eager to hear about the results of the testing.

Mello snarled and punched Matt's arm. "Can't take a joke?"

Mogi slid a piece of paper with the number along the desk to L. L looked at it, typing on his computer. "Everyone will need to be quiet," L said softly, hitting enter on the keyboard, which made his sign flash onto the screen. "This is L. I understand that you wanted to talk bout the testing of the Death Note."

Matt scowled at Mello, kicking him again but not saying anything.

Sakura listened closely, focusing intently on the conversation.

Mello punched Matt once more.

"Yes," said the man on the other end of the call. "A prisoner's name was written in the Death Note, by a second prisoner called D-"

"Did the first prisoner die?" L asked, cutting the man off before he could say the name.

"Yes." L frowned, pushing his thumb to his lip.

Matt scowled at Mello again, pushing him.

Sakura frowned. "Did the second prisoner die 13 days later?" she asked suddenly before she could stop herself.

Mello sighed heavily, poking Matt.

L turned around to stare at Sakura, dropping his hand from his mouth. "We don't know yet," the man said. "The thirteen days aren't up yet. We have him under close watch, though."

Matt pushed Mello again.

Sakura tapped her fingers rapidly on the desk. "How far along into the thirteen days are you?" she asked.

Mello shoved Matt, trying to get him to stop.

L looked at Sakura again and shook his head, staring at her with wide eyes. "Six days," the man answered. "We would have contacted you sooner, but we couldn't find out how to."

Matt kicked out at Mello again, adjusting his goggles quickly.

Sakura sat back in her chair and frowned, staying silent.

Mello responded to Matt's kick with a swift punch to the chest.
