help! my tamagotchi original's ''a'' button stoped working!!!!!

please help me fix this, i love this tama so much, any help would be much appreciated!
the a button isint completly unresponsive, but it takes at least 10 tries before it will react!!!!

when this happened on one of my nanos opening it up and cleaning it fixed it

also, i have noooo idea how to open an original!

just with a cotton bud/q-tip on the pcb where the button rests
from memory to get at the buttons of an original: if you undo the battery cover there should be another set of screws under there to take off the back of the case (careful u dont lose the reset button which is loose), then under that should be the pcb which also needs unscrewing from the front case (again careful with the loose buttons/screen cover plastic)
