Sakura tilted her head. "L, my aversions aren't according to how much I hate you."

 

[.chasm.]

"The baby doesn't hate me that much," L ammended. He turned back to the screen. "You don't have to worry about the case files on your laptop."

 

[nokotchi]

"It's not a matter of how much the baby hates you, either," Sakura told L. She tilted her head. "What... Do you mean?"

 

[.chasm.]

"I took care of them," L said simply, spinning slightly on his chair.

 

[nokotchi]

"How exactly did you 'take care' of them?" Sakura asked, her eyes widening.

 

[.chasm.]

L didn't respond, pulling his keyboard back over and chewing on his sleeve.

"Answer me," Sakura demanded. She paused for a second, thinking. "No... You didn't... You couldn't have.." she whispered to herself, rushing over to her laptop. She logged in quickly and searched her documents. "You... Deleted my files. All of them..."

 

[.chasm.]

"I didn't delete them completely," L said, watching Sakura. "I just removed them from your computer."

 

[nokotchi]

"Even so..." Sakura scowled. "What the hell am I supposed to do if I can't work on the case?!" She asked angrily.

 

[.chasm.]

"Find something," L muttered, scrolling on the page. "You looked at a lot of baby things when you were supposed to be working anyway."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura growled, kicking L's chair to the side. "I can't believe you." She stomped over to Matt, Mello, and Aya. She glanced at Aya and then turned to Matt, wondering why they both seemed to be so down. "Matt, c'mere," she muttered, walking out of the main room.

L readjusted his chair, his eyes still fixed on the screen.

Matt glanced up at Sakura, frowning slightly, but then stood up and followed her out of the room.

Once she was far enough down the corridor she turned to Matt. "So, what's going on between you an Aya?"

 

[.chasm.]

Matt froze and stared at Sakura, then shrugged slightly. "Nothing you don't know about."

 

[nokotchi]

"Do you know why Aya's so pouty? There has to be a reason," Sakura told him. "Aren't you to dating or something?"

 

[.chasm.]

"Not exactly," Matt said, shaking his head.

 

[nokotchi]

"What?" Sakura asked in disbelief. "So, you've been sleeping with her, but you're not dating? ... Have you ever even told her you loved her or liked her or anything?"

 

[.chasm.]

"...What?" Matt continued to stare at Sakura, tilting his head slightly. "No, but that's not what she said...after the first time, that is."

 

[nokotchi]

Sakura sighed. "Well, do you like her?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.

 

[.chasm.]

"Well...yeah, I do," Matt said quickly, looking down. "But she doesn't like me."
