Sakura looked over at L and nodded, turning to her laptop. "Yes, I believe so..." she muttered, pulling up a file. "Ah, here." She slid her laptop over to L, various pictures on the screens.
Light shook his head. "Bruuhhhh, I'm too druunkkk,"
L pulled the laptop closer and stared at the pictures, scrolling through them quickly. "I thought so..." he muttered to himself again, then he turned back to his own computer.
Matt groaned and hid his face in his hands. "Then go and find Mello."
"Tala, the first body was well hidden," L said, staring at the file. "The next three were left in the open for anyone to find. What would you say that means?" He turned to stare at her, looking for a reaction rather than an answer.
Matt glanced over at Mello, then rolled his eyes. "Oh, he jumped in straight after I walked away from that girl?"
Sakura looked down, processing her thoughts. "I'd say the person whose body was hidden knew or had some sort of connection to the killer, whilst the other three had no connection whatsoever so the killer didn't feel they needed to hide them."
Light let out a snort. "Well, too bad. All's fair when it comes to clubbing."
L nodded. "We could go further than that, as well," he said quietly. "The first victim was the one they wanted to kill. The next three were cover-ups. The second only happened when the first body was found. They're getting even more desperate, trying to turn suspicion away from themselves."
Matt shrugged, pushing his empty glass up the bar. "Are you not leaving, then?"
Sakura nodded, looking back up at L. "Yes," she looked downward again, deep in thought. "There also is the possibility that the killer hid the body that didn't have any connection to him, meanwhile putting the other three that they actually knew and wanted dead in obvious places to divert attention and make it so anyone who looks at this case comes up with the same conclusion you have."
Light also shrugged, groaning. "I want more shoottsssss,"
L nodded. "We can't rule out every possibility. It's rare that we deal with someone who's planned this out so far, though. The man seems to just be getting extremely scared." He tilted his head. "Because we can safely assume it's a man."
"Buy one and go, then," Matt said, hiding his face in his hand again. "If I have to drag you away, I will."
