Guys, the whole "emo-goth-sceanster" thing is a whole thing of the meida. Besides if you say you are emo, you are probably a poser... People calle me emo but I swear I am not...but really emo is short for emotional, so that means everyone is emo because everyone has emotions.

Not many people label me. But I consider myself borderline-emo/full-blown punk. I mean,I like the skulls and horn-rimmed glasses,I've cut myself once or twice,and I like the heavy metal and emo-screamo music.

I mean, not to be rude, but actual punks 'n such don't say "I consider myself ___ because I like heavy metal and screamo, and the horn rimmed glasses." I mean, in that case, I'm alot more than full blown punk.

"emo" is just a label saying you cut yourself. not all emo people cut themselves, not all cutters are emo. my friends call me emo. just because i'm goth. i know a lot of people get goth and emo mixed up. seriously, look up emo on youtube.com and you will see all these emo posers. not cool at all. i also cut myself and that just reinforces those stereo types. i find some of those videos very offensive and when people ask if and why i cut myself. calling me emo, doesn't make me emo. calling me goth doesn't make me goth. i just happen to be goth and emo and a cutter. so it's very easy to see how people can get their definitions mixed up in my city.

Emo means people who cut themselves

Goth means you, I think, like to express your feelings in a sad or dark way. IDK.

Woah- chill. I was speaking in general hence the "this is what some of you say". Some being more than one. It wasn't directed at anyone in particular.

Listen I'm not emo, nethier are you. Goths do that stuff! (Maybe some emos do some of that)

Emo is short for emotional! Emo means people that get emotional about life and sometimes they cut themselves! Sometimes that isn't the case! I am so mad at how people say they are emo, but they are just goth or fakers! Some fakers like to be emo 'cause it's "cool" (Real emos, no offense). Be yourself, if your emo or not!

I wish someday people didn't care about popularity or being a fake emo.

I listen to heavy metal and power metal. I want outrageous streaks in my hair, I use alot of slang and I have a rather smooth voice, I wear about 89% black, I already have brown hair, I wear converse, I wear tons of graphic t-shirts, jeans, plaid skirts, you name it. -.- But I'm not emo. I'm an average pre-teen girl.

You have it all wrong. I suggest you look up emotional in the dictionary. Thats where the def. of emo is.
