Scarlett finally managed to pull her fist away. "I'm fine. Tell the council I'll deal with Rain's body later if they haven't already done it yet." A pause. "And as for the leader stuff... I'll sort that later too."

"Well, the rest of the council is worried how you would handle this, so they sent me to make sure you behave correctly."

"I do - NOT - need - a babysitter!" Scarlett yelled, punching the nearby wall with each odd word. When she was done she sighed, resting her head against it. "Oh god...

Atmos walked over, and picked Scarlett up, laying her down on the bed. "Stay their. Now tell me, what happened between you and Damien to start this whole thing?"

"I don't WANT to stay here." Scarlett growled, going to get up, but ended up flopping backwards again. Massaging her hand she sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "Everything."

"Well start at the beginning." Atmos told her, sitting at the edge of Scarlett's bed.

"Do I have to explain myself to you?" Scarlett sighed heavily. "You probably know half the story anyway."

Scarlett groaned again. "Me, Damien and Rain, I dunno... travelled together, if you like. We were all good friends... especially me and Damien." She turned to look at Atmos. "If you see what I'm getting at."

"Okay, fine, we were a couple. In a big way." Scarlett said, glaring at Atmos. "Either way Rain decided he was bored of travelling - and us - and, I don't know, decided to settle down and went for a place on the council. Obviously he got it. I think that's when Damien started hating the council."

"Well, Damien started messing with the council more and more, breaking the rules and so on... I went along with it for a bit, but eventually I put my foot down. Yeah, we had a massive fight... and you know the rest from there."

"So because Damien was trying to protect you from Rain, you had a fight?" Atmos frowned. "And then you turned into Rain's pet."

"He was not trying to protect me! He left me to die or suffer at the hands of the council!" Scarlett snapped. "If it wasn't for Rain stepping in and clearing my record, I wouldn't be here! Because of HIM!"

"Hm, that's not what he told the council when Rain was elected. Here take a look..." and with that, Atmos put his hand on Scarlett's temple, and they were now in the trial room. Damien was there, although a lot younger.

"Listen, you must not put Rain on the council. If he is Scarlett will be in danger, he'll abuse his power to try and win he over. If you put him on, I'll have no choice but to declare war on the council, it must be done to protect Scarlett. If she dies before she has her child, then we are doomed, and their will be no council..." Damien said, trying to persuade them. Atmos brought them back to her bedroom. "Surely Rain told you about the prophecy, right?"

Scarlett was silent for a few moments. "What. The heck. Was that all about." She got up. "I don't have time for this. I want to find Damien and kill him."

"Hm, might not be a good idea..." Atmos frowned. "You're weak, now come rest. I'll tell you a bedtime story."
