January sat next to Eon on the rock. "I love the park.." she said quietly.

"Yeah, it's a nice place to just get away from everyone..." Eon said, looking at the reflection made by the water. In it, he could see a scary sight. Some of the bullies who would always picking on him were walking closer. Trying to ignore them, he stayed quiet.

January looked over at Eon, who seemed to be troubled. "What's the matter, something wrong?" she asked.

Eon had opened his mouth to answer, but the bullies had already started. One pushed Eon into the lake, and the next all was just a mess. Time froze, and Eon got out of the water, looking at the bullies. He threw one far into the lake, pushed another into a tree, making him collapse, and the third one he punched, sending flying across to the other side of the river. Time resumed normally after that, and Eon stood wide eyed, looking at what he had just done.

January was confused at what just happened, one second she was ready to kill some bully for pushing Eon into the lake, and the next she saw Eon out of the water and all of the bullies were scattered. "Wha-..."

Eon's eyes were glowing. He looked over at January, scared at what he had just done.

January stood up, still trying to process what had just happened, "Eon are you okay? What just-? I....." January tripped over her words.

Eon didn't respond, not sure what had happened himself. After all those years of abuse from those bullies, he had finally fought back. Looking down, he finally spoke. "I'm a monster."

January growled under her breath," No, you're not!! Don't say that!" She shot a glance around at the bullies. "From my point of view, you were just defending yourself!!"

Eon looked up at her. "You're...you're not afraid of me?" he choked out.

"No, I'm not.... I'm afraid FOR you. You don't know the damage I can do." January met Eon's eyes with tears threatening to spill, "You don't know what being a monster really means."

Eon wanted to hug her, but didn't because he was soaking wet. "I wasn't in control of myself back there..."

January sighed. "I'm not in control of myself on the full moon..... I kill the innocent if I'm not far enough away.... I can't even remember the faces of whom I've killed.... THAT is what being a monster is!!" January was finally spilling her long held frustration and sadness, a single tear dropping from her eye.

"Maybe we should go home..." Eon said softly, as people were starting to give them funny looks.

January blushed when she realized people were looking at her. "Uh..... Want to come to my place?" she asked quietly.

Eon nodded. "Sure, that's fine." he said, holding her hand and beginning to walk.

January walked with Eon, leading him to her house." I'm really sorry about back there...... I just... I don't know.." she whispered.

"It's fine January, it was my fault..." Eon told her. He was beginning to dry off, and was feeling a little more comfortable.

January looked down. "No it wan't, I've just needed to tell someone all of that for a while now...." she replied. "Here we are.." She said as she approached her house, unlocking the door and holding it open for Eon.

Eon smiled. "Thank you." he told January, walking inside. Except for his hair, Eon was pretty much dry again. He pulled January into a hug. "We both have our problems January, don't worry about it." he whispered.
