Luca groaned quietly, covering her ears with her paws. “Just when I thought it’d become quiet around here, I can still hear yelling...” She grumbled to herself.

Shadow nodded. "Oh, that. It's no problem.", he said before looking back up at the stars. After a while of intently staring, he said, "It's so nice, isn't it? A beautifully simple night like this."

Grey said, "Alright. I'll try to have fun." he looked around. "We've got quite a crowd going on here, eh?"

Annie nodded slightly, smiling up at the stars in the sky. "It's the perfect night. I wish it never had to end..."

Selena grinned, grabbing Grey's hand and giving it a squeeze. "We're going to have such a blast with everyone tonight! I cannot wait to party!"

Shadow generally didn't like to end conversations like this one, but now he felt no need for words. He was content with just being here next to Annie in this simple fort on a small island under the gaze of all of the thousands of stars. He could not have worded it better than Annie just had if he tried. This was the perfect night.

Grey, even though he was unsure of if he was really going to enjoy the party or not, was content with Selena was happy. He chuckled at Selena's bubliness, one of the things he loved most about her. "I'm sure we'll have an excellent time.", he said.

Luca could see a group of people ahead of her, noticing Selena and Grey among them. Whatever they were doing, she knew it probably didn't concern her.

Selena looked at Grey and said, "And you know, there needs to be at least one voice of reason here, just so nobody gets hurt." She giggled, then stopped Grey quickly to give him a kiss. "Grey... I love you. And I'll do anything to make you happy. I want you to know that."

Annie closed her eyes and drew in a deep breath, a look of contentment forming on her face. She didn't feel like saying anything, so she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Grey smiled at this and kissed Selena on the head. "How do you always know just the right thing to say?"

ooc: It's funny, because there was like absolutely no romance between Shadow and Annie until last night.

The kiss was enough to break Shadow out of his content trance. He took Annie's hand in the end of his wing (as he has no arms) and appreciated that this moment needed no words, nor even thought.

Anni smiled and stroked his wing gently, then leaned over and gave him another kiss.

Luca barked before turning around to walk back to where she has been before. She had to admit, she was a bit jealous of Selena and Grey's relationship, and though she hadn't known them long, she could tell they were very close.

@Bunny: Yeah, they sort of had that kind of love that they were both just waiting to shout out, but Annie's scared to admit it and Shadow was too patient.

Shadow snuggled up next to her and said quietly, "Annie, I feel like I must ask this: Is this how things will stay? Or is this just tonight?"

Grey nodded and smiled. "You know it." But then he remembered that there was something he wasn't telling her. But he was doing the right thing... Right? He looked down at her, her face full of happiness and trust. He didn't want her worried, but he wanted even less to lie to her. "Actually, Selena, there is something I need to tell you."

Annie said, "If you asked me to stay with you for eternity, I would say yes. You know that. Shadow, I've longed to be with you, like this. I wouldn't dream of giving it up after one night."

Selena stopped walking, noting the concern on her fiance's face. "Grey? What is it? What's wrong?" She took both of his hands in hers, not minding if the group walked away.

Shadow smiled. "Then I'm happy.", he said and kissed her cheek.

Grey frowned. He began to think maybe he should have put this off longer, but it was too late now. "Annie... She said that the heroes are going to try to disrupt our wedding. To split us apart. She mentioned something about your father and how his evil deeds had made you one of their targets."

Annie beamed at him, then looked back up at the sky. She began to point out constellations to Shadow, and even was able to find some different galaxies and nebulae up in space. "Isn't the sky amazing?"

Selena said, "What? Wait, hold on. We need to go home and talk about this... why are we even out here? And... why didn't you tell me sooner?" She looked confused, and a little bit hurt.

Luca returned to her human form as she got to her dorm. She laid down on her bed and pulled a switchblade out from her right sleeve and began to play with it, flicking it in and out lazily.

"Up close? Do you have the ability to actually go and see it in person? I suppose you don't have the need to breathe when you're there?" She turned onto her side to look at him, a quizzical look on her face.

Selena took Grey's hand and led him back into the dorm. And then she got out two suitcases. "We're leaving town for a little bit. We'll head to Vegas, have a quick wedding there. if something happens to me... I at least want to know what it's like to be your wife."

Luca sighed and put the blade away, closed of course though. She stared at the roof then at calander next to her bed. "Why must I be so paranoid?" She asked herself.

Grey hated the idea of a Vegas wedding. It seemed to him like something that was too simple and unromantic. It somehow also seemed... disposable. But right now he didn't see a lot of other options. So he just took her hand and said, "If it means I could be with you, Selena, I'd go anywhere."
