Nope. She's so clever but she doesn't give a dam.n about school anymore. It's sad, actually.

"I don't know many stories about cupcakes," Christien said with a shrug, chuckling. "My parents, okay. Well, I can't say it's going to be all that interesting, but mayybe that's a good thing, since you'll fall asleep more quickly. Anyway, well, I think the detail I always remember about them is how supportive they've been of me. My Mom had always told me to go for whatever made me happy, and she always liked my music. My Dad was less so interested; he wanted me to go into business because creative jobs were for uneducated people. It annoyed me a lot, because he loved to listen to music, so I never understood why he didn't like mine."

Aww. I know a few people like that.

Elaina frowned slightly, "That's sad about your dad. I love your music, beyond measure, so, I don't understand how somebody wouldn't." She struggled to hold back a yawn and ended up producing a strange, strangled breathing sound, which ended in a giggle since she found her sound amusing. Re-focusing, she pressed her back against his chest a tad more so she could sit more comfortably and fall asleep easier.

It really frustrates me. I mean there are so many people who aren't so naturally intelligent who work their butts off to get good grades and people like her just sit back and say whatever.

"Well, he'll never change. But I'm happy in what I do, so he can say what he wants, I don't want to do anything else," Christien said. He had to laugh at the noise she made, trying to stifle his laughter as much as possible, however. He found it as amusing as she did, but he quietened down so she could sleep.

Yeah, my friend is like that. He's brilliant, and yet he picks to slack off and get D's.

"Maybe I'll meet him someday and perswade him to change his mind." Elaina quipped sleepily, her eyes half-closed now, her blinks becoming slower. "I could use my charm on him." She added with a giggle so quiet it sounded more like a sudden breath.

I can't see myself doing that. I really believe I worked harder than anyone this year at school.

"Maybe. I plan on taking you to Paris so you still get your trip that you won, so you may get to. But I wouldn't mention it too much, he might like you less for it," he chuckled.

I haven't really slacked off, but I haven't really worked too hard this year. I will next year though, since it counts more.

"I wouldn't mind if he disliked me for trying to convince him that you're amazing." Elaina sighed softly, her eyes completely closed. "Now, I must sleep." A yawn escaped her lips, as if on que, and she quickly fell asleep.

Well, all of the work I do this year and next year counts towards my GCSEs, so I've worked super hard this year.

Okay, I've finially decided, it's a good time to get them outta here :)

Christien just smiled appreciatively and held her close to him, staying still after that, so as not to disturb her. And this carried on for a good while, a few hours maybe, until a faint noise caught Christien's attention. Whatever it was wad coming closer and fast, an extreme crescendo of sound, which became more recognisable. He gently shook Elaina awake and then peered out of the shelter. A little in the distance, near the crash site, several helicopters were landing, the sand, smoke and ash swirling up and around them. Had someone finally come to search for any survivors? A camera crew set up straight away, capturing the first glimpses the world had ever seen of the horrific event.

Haha well that makes sense. I'm afraid I'm going to have no social life next year because I picked all of the hardest courses ):

Elaina's brain took a few, seemingly endless minutes to take in all of what was occuring around her and compute it. "Christien?" She whispered, gripping onto him, half in fright and half not wanting to lose him in the chaos. An plethora of men and women in blue uniforms with shock-enduced expressions wandered over to them hesitantly, as if Elaina and Christien were two rare creatures that were dangerous. "Are you two alright?" One woman asked the pair directly before yelling 'we need the doctors over here with water!' over her shoulder.

Same here. I picked the two hardest subjects. I admit, I found it difficult to cope sometimes, but I got through it. And, yeah, at the time I felt like I had so little time for my social life, but I look back on it and I've still had loads of time with my friends and my music and it's all worth it when I see the grades I'm getting and are expected to get at the end of next year.

Christien just nodded in answer to the woman's question, apparently a little dumbfounded by the whole operation. A man ran back with two large litre bottles of water and tried to physically make them drink until Christien reassured him that they were quite alright to do it themselves. The woman kept firing questions at the pair between their gulps of water-- "Are there any others?" "How did you survive?" "Have you seen anything suspicious?".. The doctors then checked the two of them for anything serious, and after their examination, the older and apparently more senior of the two said to them, "For you two to get out in this sort of state is an absolute miracle."

Haha well that's good. I hope I'll keep my social part of life the same. Even though I hear AP Bio. is toture. ): But, you gotta do what you gotta do. Haha plus, I love everything about biology so hopefully that'll be a plus.

Elaina munched on her bottom lip in silence, her hazel eyes flashing back and forth between Christien and the rest of the strangers with a strange fastination. Her mind wouldn't accept the questions as fast as they were dishing them out, so she simply glanced helplessly at Christien, in hopes that he would answer. The only thing she could possibly manage was pouring the water down her throat, which her body joyously accepted. "We're saved?" She asked softly, as if she half expected the whole ordeal to be a dream; the only thing keeping her actually paying attention and believing it was real, was her skin in contact with Christien's as she grasped his arm.

Well, we have to do all three sciences, which is horrible. I like Physics and Bio but not Chem..

Christien could tell that Elaina was very disorientated and everything was too much for her at that moment, which hardly surprised him, really. He tried to answer the woman's questions as best as he could for now, slightly distracted by all of the different voices speaking at the same time, all the running in the background, with the camera crew fumbling with stands and microphones that stood in the way of the search crew looking through the wreckage. Eventually a man answered Elaina's question and said, "Yes, don't worry, we're getting you out of here really soon, okay?" At last, confirmation that they were actually being saved at long last.

I took Chem this year and completely despised it. I'm no good with balancing formulas ):

Eventually a smile found its way onto Elaina's lips when the man finally answered her question. "How soon?" She asked when she'd found her voice again, involuntarily leaning towards Christien, as if they might take him away from her; with all this chaos, he was the only familiar piece. Although she'd been on the island for a long, long while, and she'd already mentally prepared herself on staying for an even longer amount of time, now that there was a chance to leave, that's all she wanted to do; and quickly.

I just.. Don't find it at all interesting. Physics is interesting, and Biology is just fascinating. But Chem is horrible.

"Well, once this lady's done with you we're going to get you straight to a helicopter, okay?" The man replied with a reassuring smile. "Maybe different ones-- you guys don't sound like you're from the same place, unless I'm much mistaken." Christien interjected there. "Actually, we're going to the same place, thanks. She's my girlfriend, I'm just originally from France and her from America," he said, seeming a little frustrated that the guy had just made that assumption.

I agree completely. Nobody wants to memorize the Periodic table, thank you. xD Lol

Elaina threw Christien a reassuring look before adressing the safety guy. "Well, if we could just be evacuated as quick as possible, that'd be wonderful. You see, we've been stranded on here for a long while." She said, politely but firmly, before taking another long swig of her water-bottle, beyond happy to taste something besides coconut milk.

I know. I hate all of that. I don't remember it at all.

Christien said to the man, "Oh, and you can tell that news crew we're not taking any questions-- we've had enough of those and we want to go home." He really had no time for journalists prying into the lives of people who didn't want them around, and he also despised people who sought their attention for money or five minutes of fame. The man nodded and sent another member of his team over to block the journalists from them. He then asked a couple more questions, apologising for that, but assured them that they were important, scribbling the answers down on a form, and then lead the pair over to one of the helicopters, getting them in quickly. He asked them, "Okay, so where is it that we actually need to take you?" Christien looked at Elaina and said, "Well, we were promised a trip to Paris, so unless Elaina doesn't want to, we can pick that up where we left off?"

I remember 1-18 and that's it. Haha I fail

"I would love to go to Paris." Elaina interjected quickly when Christien'd mentioned the impossible chance of her not wanting to go. She shifted her weight on the surprisingly comfortable helicopter seat, finding that her body had missed the luxury of actual seats more than she'd expected. She reached over, finding Christien's hand and intertwining his fingers with her own.

I just did a practice Chem paper though and I got all but the last two questions wrong, which would be a 34/36 or an A*, so I'm relieved =D

"Okay, well, then could you take us to Paris, please?" Christien asked the man, who replied with, "Of course," and a small smile offered to them. Christien squeezed her hand gently, reassuringly, in his own, and smiled at her, giving her a quick kiss on the lips. He was glad to be going home, in all honesty. It had been difficult to know whether they ever would while they'd been on the island, and honestly Elaina was the only thing that had kept him sane.

Well that's good! I got a C on my final ): Therefore making my final grade a B for that quarter.

Elaina forcefully shut her eyes when the helicopter made its first climb into the air, her fingers wrapped tightly around Christien's until they reached an altitude where there were minimal bumps and turbulence. "Can you believe we actually made it?" She asked him, grinning triumphantly at him. "And we're going to Paris!"

My average is at a high A right now, that's collectively on all sciences, but it's made up of two As and two A*s. I want to get an A* at the end, but honestly, an A is great at the end of the day.

Christien didn't mind the movement so much, he just smiled and held onto her hand tightly to make her feel better until she was alright. At her comment he nodded, his smile widening to the point of a grin and said, "I know.. That's amazing. And I can't believe I get to take you now, I'm so excited."

I'll be back later, I'm watching a movie :)

Totally xD My final, final grades were all A's so that's good. Just that one B ruined my streak! ): Stupid final haha

Elaina was speaking to Christien, yet looking out of the window intently, memorized by the view, "I can't wait to see all of it. Though, you'll have to translate for me, because I simply know how to say 'hi'. Oh, and, also, where are we going to be staying? Not that that's too important. But, i mean, you know the area so.." She let her voice trail off, sensing her rambling, and waited for Christien to respond.
