The sidequests are:

Magic Armor: donate 1000 rupees to Malo Mart to fix the bridge, get the hot springwater and pour it on the goron at the West bridge to castle town, donate 200 rupees to Malo Mart to get his store in Castle Town, buy the Magic Armor for 500 something rupees. I'm done this one except for the actual buying it part.

Golden Bugs: big wallet --> giant's wallet

Poe Souls

Those are the big ones, there's also the heart pieces and howling stones and stuff.

I hardly ever do sidequests the first time I play through a Zelda game. After I've played it through once, I'll usually explore a lot more and get extra shtuff. :3 I mean, I do my best when I play for the first time. But I won't stress over one heart piece, for instance.

 
it depends for me, usually though i do part of some sidequests, don't do this one, decide to do another one, but typically i never go and complete it 100% the first time. Only one i did that was in OoT my first playthrough i finished it with all heart pieces, all skulltulas, all upgrades, etc. yes i used a walkthrough, silly. (;

well, you know what we're talking about, from now on '3000th reply' is the official title not to cause any confusion. only because technically, Jae's right, normally i wouldn't wanna change the tradition. ;3

I think i'm gonna play a lotta Zelda this weekend, i'm just so in the mood for it, especially to get more into MM. and some TP, i missed that game.

Ooh, Kay you have confuzed us! kidding, but at first i was like "wtf....? who's this person with one post? oh, haha it says right there it's Kristin!" xD

Blah i was just playing TP and i was in the Cave of Ordeals. I got so far, but i drank some Purple Chu Jelly that reduced my hearts to just a quarter of one heart, and yeah then i died. ;-; I probably shouldn't risk drinking those things, but once i got one that filled all the hearts, so i dunno.

but.... i also got the magic armor and all the golden bugs! 8D whee at long last i finished some sidequest stuff that i planned on doing ages ago!

And also, Ocarina update. Yes. I finally played again. xD

I got out of the Fire Temple. Very easy. I'm annoyed that I missed a heart piece or skultulla because my stupid scarecrow song wouldn't work. D:

I'm trying to one hundred percent this file. (HAH. Like thats going to happen) I'm already making great progress too. Currently, I have thiry-seven skullies and 10 hearts.

I used to put games under my sisters bed all the time. xD I was really little and couldn't reach the shelves where you needed to put them, so I stashed them under there for easy access.

Yeah. My mom put them back where they belonged. XD

jae, where is the scarecrow in the fire temple? i never saw it. oh, but i never learned the scarecrow's song anyway, so it wouldn't matter. xD i still need to do that if i want to get that skulltula in dodongo's cavern.

i'm planning on playing MM today and doing the first dungeon. wish me luck with that. :)

 
In the bi-level boulder room, there is a little gray ledge. You can see Navi float there. You're supposed to play your Ocarina and then it'll appear. Then you can go up there.

When I made my scarecrow song, and then went to repeat it to another one, it kept saying it was wrong. I was like WTFDOYOUMEANITSWRONGIJUSTPLAYEDITBAH. So yeah. I'm eventually going to go back through all the dungeons anyway to get anything I missed.

oh. i don't remember that from my first playthrough. but i'll go find it later maybe. i remember there was a scarecrow in the shadow temple though.
