In the U.S, father's day was sometime in June I think. I didn't get my dad anything, because he said he didn't want anything.

well for fathers day i always buy a green candle (green was his favorite color) and burn it and have a moment of silence, then the next day i go to his grave in the cemetary and lay flowers on it....my dad was like my best friend i could talk to him about anything..but he sadly passed away in May 2004

i remember the very first fathers day gift i bought him (i was 2)

it was a stuffed pig (his fave animal) with a heart on it saying "I love you Daddy"(my granny sewed the words on it cause it used to be just plain but she sewed words on it)

I know how ya feel, I dispise my dad with great Hate, He Belts me all the time, Raids my personal space just to get me mad, He even bit me (If yall recall the photo)

I love my Dad... since I was injured at work and have been on disability, he has taken care of me... doctor's appointments, medications, x-rays, MRI's, food... and I can talk to him about anything, he's the greatest. I think I just hugged him and told him I loved him for Father's Day because I had no money to buy anything at the time.

Hmm... there's actually another rule about "naming" and "shaming"members too... - you might want to take another look at the site rules (there's a link in my signature)

I normally try to judge a bumped topic based on whether it is still relevant in the forums and not how many months or years old it it.

However, the last Father's Day in the UK was in mid June06 and it looks like it was in Sep06 in the USA, so I am going to close this topic as it is no longer relevant.
