wait, are you xxxparanormalxxxmehxxx or something like that?
Dex continued to drive, putting on some music while he did so. Until he finally saw the others, coming to a dead stop, he slowly got out of the car. "So I'm not the only one left..." He said, partially to himself, and partially to the others.
Asvoria let out the breath she had been holding in as she heard the car come closer.'This one doesn't look hostile..' she thought to herself.
"no, you're not the only one left. There's a few of us here and I'm sure we're not the only ones either." she spoke out loud. She put a dagger away back into it's leather sheath and reached out toward his hand to shake it."My name is Asvoria." 'I can't let this one hate me too, now can I!' she reasoned inside her mind.
Dex thought for a second, before shaking her hand. "Good to know I'm not alone. I'm Dexter, but just call me Dex." He said, giving Asvoria a small smile.
Dex's friendlyness boosted her spirits. "So Dex, do you have any abilities? The rest of us here are pretty gifted." Asvoria smiled back and looked around at the others.
Honestly I don't remember it much, just it was like my first serious RP and it was about vampires and stuff. That's it. I recognized your character's name, that's how I remembered you xD.
Dex thought to himself, should he reveal his powers? Deciding they seemed friendly enough, he lit his hand on fire and then made it go back to normal.
Avy smiled "Fire, how destructively useful!" she purred, inspecting his hand with a look of intense curiosity." I can controll shadows." She explained to Dex as he conjured two orbs of fluffy shadow to circle in her palms, increasing in size until it surrounded her hands. "I'd show you mor but not everyone reacts well to having shadow surrounding them." Avy stated. She winked at Dex as she used her mind to lift the daggers out of their holders and into the air abover her. They hovered thee for a moment before hurling themselves into a tree."I'm a little telekinetic. I can lift weapons and...leaves." Avy sighed as she made a tiny maple leaf orbit Dex's hand.
There was another one too, but that I don't remember at all. Except one of the others in it still comes around once in awhile.
"Hm, that's really cool." Dex gave Asvoria a smile. "So Miss Shadow, I never got your name. Care to enlighten me?" He asked, letting the leaf fall to the ground.
" My name is Asvoria. Loved ones can call me Avy." Her eyes darkened at the thought of her family and how they were killed by creatures. "so I guess...nobody really calls me Avy anymore." she couldn't believe she was opening up to this guy she just met. He gave off a good vibe and she decided to trust her instinct.
Asvoria shot two palmfulls of shadow at the forest floor, creating a large shadow blanket thick enough to comfortably sit on. "Hmm" she thought out loud. "We could use a campfire." She the jumped up towards a tree, tore some limbs off and sliced them up, setting them in a light pile. "So Dex, what's your story, if you don't mind sharing?" she mumbled at him, searching in every pocket for a lighter.
"Oh, it's not much Avy." Dex said, not really wanting to say a long name like Asvoria. "You know, had a normal life, massacre happened, and now I'm just learning to survive." he explained, starting a small fire.
Avy twitched at hearing her nickname being said out loud again. "Yea, I get ya." she yawned. "Well I have a feeling that everything is going to be better soon." Asvoria curled up on the shadow bed. She turned to Dex once more, "Can you do me a favor? Keep watch while I nap? I don't quite trust some of these people. And believe me, I'm not getting much trust from them, either."
[[it's 12:48am here and I'm about to pass out. Dx ]]
"Thank you.." Avy barely managed before passing out. The layer of shadow deflated an inch without her concentration but would still remain until the end of her nap.
Dex nodded, smiling at Avy in her sleep a little bit. There was something different about her. Yawning, he laid down but tried nnot to go to sleep, as he had promised her to keep an eye on her.
Peter looked over at Dex, who was nearly asleep. He walked over and sat down beside him. "Hey man, I'm Peter. I know you don't know me and you made a promise to her, but if you want to sleep, I'll watch both out for both of you," he said and smiled slightly.
Dex thought for a second. Avy said she didn't really trust any of the other people there, so Dex didn't want to take a chance. Rubbing his eyes, he shook his head. "I'm fine, thanks for the offer though."
Asvoria stirred in her sleep. Something was agitating her. Slowly she opened her eyes and sat up, glaring at the parrot. "So much for sleep." she growled. She then looked at Para, "If I didn't make a deal, I might've done just that."
"I'm good for now." Avy half smiled at Dex. "Go ahead and get some rest."
