There's nothing wrong with wishing there were Mermaids... even hoping they exist Nice looking pics - in this day and age they are so easy to fake.

The bit that made me smile is the line in one of the last paragraphs of the article " ... studied and authenticated by experts..." LOL - just how many Mermaid experts are there in the world...?!

I would find the whole thing more believeable if a world renowned expert like David Attenborough got footage... :kusatchi:

when it says experts studied the pic it ment they looked and scanned it to make sure it wasn't photoshoped or tampered with.

There is a big thing in my school right now. everyone is talking about it... and i think that they are all serious it is quite strange... you would expect it in an elementary in pre-school but it is happening here... but in a more mature, honest and serious manner. ok i bet you want me to get to the point. i will post this first: here
yes, mermaids . everyone is talking about it and most people noe believe in them. so what do you think? and if you don't believe (i am not sure if i do but it is a possibility) what do you think about people telling kids about them. i mean they possibaly can exist... nobudy knows for sure. but i personaly think that if this really happend, EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE would know about it. so i don't think that this particular atical is real but it may be. this may b e a weird topic and a little ramdom lol but this is what happens in my school.

and don't turn this into a flame war. my friend (who is 13 years old) believes in them and i don't want anyone screaming they don't believe, because i know that if anyone did that to her, i don't want to be near that world war 3.

Though it is hard to tell, you can't say it is real or fake from the picture, because it is under water and has no colour.

I'll have to look into it, but for me,there is no Mermaids.

I believe it I am 9 and even thow alot of ppl think it is fake I believe stuff like that mermaids, ghosts, aliens stuff like that

i am a totall lunatic i give you that but still. the pics are not uncolored. they are blue from the water. that happenes a lot. ghosts rock and some hunt the houses i live by. but i don't think aliens will ever invade...ever. why? they don't exist. but the theory i am working on is that every person contains an animals likes dislikes or temper. sometimes you can even tell by looking in the persons eyes.

PS i am also in the midle school so i am not a 5 year old fairy tale addict...no offense

Hmm...interesting I'll have to look it over carefully. It may just be a scam. They may have pictures of the water and used an expierenced paint system to make a shadow of a "fake" mermaid.

I used to, but then as i got older, I saw this show where people got the whole "sea monsters" idea from. I saw a part where these people said they saw a mermaid, but that was in the 1500's. Later on, modern scientists claimed it was not a mermaid, but a seal. this is why I don't believe, but I am open to any opinion. Tamakinggold, I just want you (and everyone else) to know that I believe in dragons too. really! :furawatchi:
