Morgan shrugged it off, like it was no big deal. Like she'd seen people panic like this all the time. Which, she had. Cody had panic attacks sometimes. Morgan tossed her crusts in the trash and took her plate to the sink. When she came back over with everyone else, she silently slid her hand into Asher's, squeezing it reassuringly. "Well, once your done, Ky-ky, we'll go to the doctor." Kyle nodded and finished off the pizza.

Asher held onto her hand more tightly than normal, finding that it somehow made him feel more at ease with everything- which still struck him as odd, because he rarely found security in being close to other people, but that was obviously why he enjoyed Morgan's company so much-, and squeezed it back, showing his acknowledgement and gratefulness for her reassurance. When she mentioned the doctor to Kyle he found himself silently asking whoever was out there who decided these things for at least that to run smoothly, if anything.

Asher saw that her eyes willed him to say yes- which he was more than happy to do for her, obviously. "Of course," he replied softly, smiling at her reassuringly, and motioning for her to follow after Kyle.

No problem. Mine is no better :)

Morgan let out a small grin. She pulled Asher behind her, Cody on the other hand.

-I'm time skipping to the doctor!-

Morgan signed her name on the last of the papers and handed the forms back to the receptionist. She sat in a chair, nervously bouncing her legs. She wanted them to call her name now. Waiting was no fun, especially for something this serious.

Asher took a seat next to Morgan. For a moment he sat still, reminding himself that for once he wasn't around doctors for them to poke into his life and ask him pressing yet seemingly useless questions, and then he was comfortable with the fact that it was pointless to worry about where he was, and worry about Morgan, instead. He looked to her sat beside him, and noted how apprehensive she looked. He moved his hand from his lap and placed it on her knee gently, and while he didn't say anything to her, he looked at her in such a way that said it all; how he was there for her, and how everything would be alright.

Morgan looked down at Asher's hand, to the look on his face, and back down to his hand. She stopped bouncing her knees and leaned back in the chair, trying to call down. She tried to remind herself everything would be okay. But that was the problem- it most likely wouldn't be. Morgan's hand landed on top of Asher's and she squeezed. She had never felt this nervous in her life.

Asher turned his hand over to lace his fingers with hers, squeezing it in return. He didn't know what to say, and part of that was probably because it amazed him how nervous and worried she was for the life of her unborn baby, even if the father was someone who she wanted nothing to do with anymore, and even if having it would make her life a whole lot harder. It was something he was still yet to fathom completely- the unconditional love for your own child. And maybe that was because he didn't really know how to, or if he could ever, love anyone else except Sam and his parents, and because he'd never imagined himself having a relationship with anybody, let alone ever having children. So he thought Morgan was the bravest person he knew at that moment in time. All he could do was hope that everything would be at least better than she feared it was going to be.

The nurse came out and called Morgan's name. She stood, her knees shaking a little bit. Morgan slowly walked towards the nurse, plastering her fake smile on as she said her hellos. Morgan actually hated the doctor's office. Especially if it involved something as serious as this.

Urgh, yet another fail.

Asher sat tight for a moment, before he asked her, "Do you want me to wait for you out here, or come with you?" Obviously, she looked like she needed support from someone, but at the same time, it was one of those things that some people would prefer to get it over with on their own.

And the same here.

Morgan looked back over her shoulder, and motioned for him to join her. The words to ask him just wouldn't come out. She needed a hand to hold at the moment. Kyle and Cody could stay out here, but she wanted Asher with her.

Wow, that sucked. Haha.

Asher was quick to get up and join Morgan at the door. He didn't know how much help he could really be, but he did know he could at least hold her hand through it all, to let her know she had someone there for her. They followed the nurse into the doctor's office. He felt nearly as nervous and fearful for Morgan as she felt for herself, but he didn't let it show, for her sake.

It's hard. We had that time just before then when it was so good, it always feels difficult when you can type no more than two sentences.

Morgan and Asher were led to a room with one of those sonogram machines. Morgan felt like she was going to throw up. This was actually happening. Her first instinct was to leave. But it felt like her feet were glued to the floor. After a moment, she finally hopped onto the bed, looking around the room with curiosity. She tried to stay positive, but as time went on, her thoughts got darker and darker. What if the doctor told her this was a mistake? What if the baby was killed in the raping? What if her dad had to come in and sign something for her to be here? Morgan started bouncing her legs again, her whole body starting to shake. When the doctor came in, she froze. This was it.

Eh, I feel a little bit better about this one, I guess...

The nurse showed Asher to a chair on the other side of the bed from the entrance. He sat down, though practically perched on the bed, and took her hand in both of his when the doctor walked in. He wanted to tell her things wouldn't be as bad as she thought they would be- and part of him believed they wouldn't be. But at the same time, how could he be sure? The doctor asked Morgan a few questions before he told them both what he was going to carry out to find out if everything was as it should be. Wow, they were so good at making everything sound so simple and as though nothing could possibly go wrong.

Morgan made sure to be extremely cautious while answering the questions. Not too much information, she kept telling herself. Morgan laid back onto the bed, closing her eyes almost as tightly as she was holding Asher's hand. The doctor started the procedure, and Morgan finally opened her eyes to look on the screen. There sure was a baby in Morgan's womb. "Holy sh`t, this is actually happening..." Morgan mumbled, her face flushing. She looked like she might pass out. It was one thing to say it, but it was another thing for it to actually be happening. Morgan flashed back to the last time she was in this situation. She felt the same way, only Kyle was sitting with her.

"It looks like you'll be having twins, Miss. Doyle." The doctor said, patting her leg. Morgan's mouth got dry.

"T-twins?" she stammered, her voice barely a whisper. "I need a trash can..." The doctor immeadiately handed her one, and Morgan leaned over it, throwing up.

Asher had his eyes fixed on the screen for almost the whole time, gripping Morgan's hand tightly. It was amazing how the moment when the little grey shape formed on the screen how everything felt so real. He held his breath, and released it only when the doctor pointed out how the baby was actually moving; so it was alright after all. He even smiled, as a matter of fact, he was so pleased that what had happened hadn't hurt the baby.

Or, rather, babies. He mouthed the word in complete surprise, and the doctor looked at him over Morgan's shoulder. "That's right, Mr... I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."

"Scott," Asher replied, his voice somewhat hoarse, not bothering to point out the fact that they weren't his children.

The doctor got Morgan a glass of water and filled out a few papers while she recovered. In the meantime, Asher had his hand on her back while she was sick.

Morgan took a sip of the water, slowly. "Oh my God..." she kept repeating under her breath. She looked at Asher, her face looking helpless. She shook her head, her mouth open from how shocked she still was. One baby would have been hard enough, but twins? That meant twice the diapers, twice the crying, twice the clothes, twice the bottles, twice the time, and twice the money. "Jack's gonna kill me..." she managed to whipser to Asher. The doctor told the pair they could leave, and Morgan rushed out of the office as quickly as she could. Everything seemed to be a blur to her. Kyle stood up once Morgan came out. He gave Morgan a questioning look, considering Morgan could barely speak. She sat down in the same waiting room chair and put her head in her hands, trying not to cry.

Asher couldn't stand to see her looking at him in such an impotent way, so upset and anxious. "I won't let him," he whispered to her, "I won't let him hurt you. And I'm going to help you figure this out, too, in any way I can." He followed her out of the office, running a hand back though his hair and sighing in exasperation. He wasn't sure whether to tell Kyle the things that Morgan couldn't bring herself to, or if she wanted to tell him herself. It was really a question of whether she could manage it. "The baby.. It's okay, but.." he trailed off and bit his lip.

Kyle gripped Asher's shoulders. "Tell me. Now. I need to know, and obviously, Morgan isn't in any shape to tell me herself."

Morgan just sat in her chair, shaking. Cody came over and sat with her. "Sissy, what's wrong?" he asked, with more concern than anyone could expect from an autistic child. But that was Cody. He couldn't bare seeing Morgan in such a state.

Blehhhh, sorry. I fail hard core.

Asher stole a glance at Morgan- he couldn't bear anymore, for her hated to see her so upset. He took a deep breath, exhaled again before he looked to Kyle and said to him, "Morgan... Morgan's having twins," his voice barely above a whisper, he couldn't manage any louder.

No worries, as always :)
