Toys don't have set genders. That's a stupid idea sexist ideal that absolutely destroys childrens self esteem. There is numerous charities all over the world who campaign to drop genders for toys. This means that when you walk into TRU they'll be using gender-neutral colours instead of plastering pink and blue everywhere, as well as they'll have to use boys on their Barbie dream house adverts too

The fact that they say tamas are girly... 
Well, it is sort of true, not completely, the new desighs, are sorta suiting more for girls> more pink, stars, and such stuff...
But the tamagotchis in general, specially if you think how they looked like back in 90's? They are not girly...
Everyone is allowed to act the way they want. But as for the comments of others, just ignore them.
People who follow stereotypes, like a LOT, are actually wrong themselves. There is something special, about people that no matter what others say,do what they like! They stand out in the crowd!
Besides, they say that Tamas are for young children, yes indeed, but check out how many people out there [in here actually]enjoy them!!!
They are for every age, for every gender, and every ethnicity! What if you are in Greece, and what if you are in Japan? I'm in 9th grade, and I still love my tamas, and I have this comminity to share that with happiness! My family knows, but my friends dont. They know tamas, they don't think bad of them, just that they are kinda childlike...
So, what I'm trying to say, is Keep calm, and love tamas!

Well, I am a female, but I also am (almost) 22 years old and I don't give a cookie about the fact that Tamagotchis are considered toys for children. To me it's a wonderful hobby, for both males and females and for both younger and older people! As long as you enjoy it - do it! It is YOURS to decide whether or not to play with them!
Besides, I've never heard that boys playing Tamagotchis are gay, lol. xD And especially Japan should keep their mouth shut considering how the 'boys' there look like, lol... xDDD
