My friend Aimee is going to be so happy when I tell her about the figures tomorrow she's gonna wanna buy the 2 Yumemitchi figures and the Kiramotchi one as well!

I realized some of the characters in the figures do not appear in the TFs, I wonder if there will be a Tamagotchi Friends.5 sometime soon with those and more characters (Based on Miracle Friends instead of YKdream please)

I want the figures to come out so badly! Has anyone seen them in US TRUs yet?
Yes! I actually made a TRU run today to check things out because I saw through one of the Facebook groups that the figurines had been released. At my specific location, they had moved all the TF stuff from the small Hello Kitty section (where they resided when the TF first came out) over to the larger, MLP/Zelfs/other figures section. Good thing too because not only did I find the TF, as usual, and the individual figurines there, but also bigger "play sets" and other figurine sets, so more room was needed.

The 6 individual character figures that can be collected are Decoratchi, Himespetchi, Hoshigirltchi, Yukinkotchi, Yumecantchi, and Kiraritchi. They are $3.99 each.

I wasn't too interested in any of those characters, so I moved on to the next item right below the individual figurines, the figurines that come with little props/accessories. I hadn't heard much about these sets so I took a look. There are sets available for 2 characters: Kiramotchi, who comes with little crown accessories, and Yumemitchi, who comes with a little stage and piano props. I was tempted to get the Yumemitchi one because she's at least a modern character who is somewhat more recognizable to me (I don't watch the anime nor keep up too much with some of the more newer, humanoid characters) but I'm not into the whole play set thing. Yes, I'm a grown woman who still plays with Tamagotchis but I think I draw the line there. :p Anyway, these are retailing at $9.99.

Then there are these bigger boxed sets that seemingly aren't much different besides maybe coming with more accessories/props. These are $19.99 and I don't know if there are other characters available because I only saw Pianitchi sets. (Is it just me or are these prices kind of ridiculous for figurines that don't really do anything? I guess that's the price for "collectible" right there.)

Right next to Pianitchi is the "Dream School Classmates" set of figurines. Finally, a more timeless, recognizable character, Mametchi! I wasn't too crazy about any of these characters either (besides Mametchi) but at least they were more familiar to me, despite only having ran my P's for a short amount of time. So to not make this trip a complete waste, I caved and bought the set that included Mametchi. It's $16.99 plus tax so I guess it wasn't too bad.

That's my Tamagotchi adventure for the day. :)

The Music Cafe playset is big and comes with lots of accessories :)

There aren't any other deluxe playsets~

The little playsets are only $10 which is good >w<

I think the figures and playsets are super cheap compared to other toys...

I really want them so I can play with them <3 Always a child at heart

I need all of them, but its over $80 for all the figures... asdfdhskajdjdksjsjeueirirncmxksos

Pokemon single figures that don't come with anything cost $8, so I think $4 for a TF figure is a really good price.... also take a look at Littlest Pet Shop prices. Tamagotchi Friends stuff is super cheap.

I wonder why the figures aren't on the US ToysRUs yet.

I'm so sad that figures will never get an Italian release, because, since Tamagotchi Friends is not selling well, there is no Italian Dream Town and no Italian webisodes or full anime (kind of angry because Mediaset bought Fairy Tail after 4 episodes aired in Japan, back in 2009, but why not Tamagotchi?Since it's a kids anime while Fairy Tail is for adults?) kids would get confused about the characters, and if the figures will get an Italian release, they'll get extra pricey, like playsets being 20-30USD, normal figures 7USD, figures with accessories around10USD and the Dream School set being 30USD, Euro ruined everything...Italy shouldn't be part of the Union anymore, so everything would be less pricey with our old currency.

Is possible to order them on the Toys R Us website even if I live in Italy?

There aren't many new characters in Miracle Friends, all the characters are the same, but there are no Yumemitchi and Kiraritchi and there are Miraitchi, Clulutchi, Candy Pakupaku and Smartchi instead (not counting Watchlin because she's not a Tamagotchi), I want a Friends with Tamagotchi Town characters, the old version would be renamed Dream Town Friends Version while the new one Tamagotchi Town Friends Version, and let me say, I prefer Tamagotchi Town characters.

And maybe they would add the old 2007 Let's Go Tamagotchi webisodes on the website+the 2008 ones (unavailable in English) and the 2009-2012 anime adapted into webisodes, since there are many episodes maybe they will dub only the important ones, and in the future, a Miracle Friends web series, and maybe Go-Go Tamagotchi.

And maybe a color Tama only for us, maybe called Tamagotchi BFF, or maybe another black and white thingy because Bandai doesn't want us touching color screen versions.

I don't know if it was released worldwide but back in 2008 I had a Game Boy Sims like vpet called My Life, it has a color screen, with greater details, is big like a Game Boy, it has even BGM and carts to unlock new stuff (like Tamadeco pierces).

Color Tamas are more simple than a My Life, they're not big like GBs and there is no BGM, so why? Why?Why don't we get a color screen version?

Look what happened when there was a color screen version released in the UK and Australia.

It is true that some of the figure characters aren't raisable on the TF but that's because they appear either at the park or in the Tamagotchi Friends anime webisodes.

If they do make another TF version I'd want it to have more Pierce/P's characters, especially Majokkotchi. And the Miracle Friends characters too.

They can produce a colour and lower the price a little the manufacturing costs wouldn't be much and they aren't just getting them to the uk is expensive, if they were in America a colour would be back in the 60 range which seems like a lot but look at a furby they are 80-100 each.... I don't want to go into the many reasons they could've and should've had a colour but seriously they really should've.

I really like the packaging and figures in general I wish it was in a better store spot . And emf Pokemon figures are expensive because of their a touch bit better quality and size being bigger and when small are in. Packs of two or three. I agree too though that the prices on the figures are incredibly good especially the playsets as the music cafe would be worth 49.95 in Australia.

exactly, my love for Smartotchi and my endless hate towards Yumemitchi would make that version 300 times better ;)

I really doubt we will get any chapters from past seasons, Bandai is not looking back in anyway, they completely cutted on the previous tamagotchis to introduce the friends, or at least to me it seems that way, they don't seem to care about the ''old tamagotchi spirit'' anymore and they are focusing in the girly fashion tamagotchi s**t and Yume Kira Dream season. HOPEFULLY at one point they will make a tamagotchi based on Go-Go where there are a lot of characters from the first season of the anime and keeps the original spirit more than the previous ones. But seeing how the sales of the TF's are going, I doubt it...

And the answer to color versions is simple, is not worth for them, people won't really buy them, but why? because bandai US/UK/everywherebutjapan's marketing sucks, they sold the iD L in the UK for almost 100$, do you really expect any parent to pay that much for a tamagotchi? I REALLY doubt it, and not only the price, also the advertisement, the only advertisement the iD L got was a tweet on Bandai UK's account on twitter.

I think Bandai should really reconsider their marketing if they want to seel their product, I mean, have you seen the TF's commercial? isn't it the worse comercial ever made in the Tamagotchi history? I've considred to buy one at times, but the commercial pulls me away even more, it is so creepy!! it has nothing to do with the 4U's commercial or even previous commercials that used girls too.

Japan's commercials are usually more eye catching, professional and appealing compared to the ones we get, just take a look

4U's Stylish Mature Model vs TF's Creepy Annoying Girls. Who would you say it sells more?

Anyway I have no problem with greyscales screens, if I want a color tamagotchi I can get a japanese ones, I'll just hope for a better greyscale release in the future with better characters and less silly features~

BTW, I was in my constant search for Uratamas in ebay (as always) and I found TF's figures!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamagotchi-Friends-2014-Digital-Robot-Class-Himespetchi-Figure-NEW-/311081275900?pt=Electronic_Battery_Windup_Toys_US&hash=item486de391fc

(the seller has more but Himespetchi's is the only one I want lol)

The shipping makes the unbuyable, but as always, american people can get them quite cheap :p

^ this post explains bandai and their lack of entrepreneurship in marketing to aT (a T for tamagotchi haha) you can't say that colours won't work when there actually was no effort put into them in the first place seeing as people wouldn't have bought it if they didn't know it existed, if they had it advertised like the friends kids and everyone would be going nuts over it especially with it's features and cute appeal. The price wouldn't matter at all it would be expected as long as they make it seem it's worth being that much.

4U's Stylish Mature Model vs TF's Creepy Annoying Girls. Who would you say it sells more?/quote]

My mom bought my My Life for less 50, and 3DS videogames are about 30-40, so, since a color Tama is more simple than a My Life and a videogame, the price should be around 30

I agree with you, the Friends CM is worse, the JP CMs are girly too, but better, anyway, I think the 4U CM is worse than the Friends, it pulls me away, like the Friends one does the same for you, anyway, so far, I've never seen any kid holding a Tamagotchi Friends while walking around my city.

Anyway, I think the would make webisodes about old episodes, I mean, there's the Moriritchi game on the Tama Friends site, and on the pictures of Friday fun with Mametchi on the official FB page there are Madonnatchi and Pichitchi!

It would explain to kids Mametchi and his friends' origins, it would be good, of course, they'll not dub all the episodes, but 20-30 webisodes would be good

Hey... Mimitchi... You open to the inners on the top. You pop the design off and the screws are there.

Yes... And who these are ruely aimed at anymore. If an adult has one in a comm. then a kid will want one more because its "cool" to have one if you are older. Just like a kid wanting to grow up...

The figures are on their way, sweet.
