Knuckles don't look like an Echida.

does that matter? neither does Sonic, but I don't see anyone else worrying because sonic doesn't look like a hedgehog.

In some older canon artwork, Knuckles' muzzle juts out further than Sonic's. Like a real echidna, Knuckles has a longer face.

I've played, about 12 of sonic's games. And I've never seen spikes on the top.

Actually, it's spikey on the BACK, not the top. When I started this I stared at Sonic in like three places, and in each, the top was rounded.
