OK, well, I'm ALWAYS an early work finisher but the only things I can do when I've finished my Literacy half an hour early are cut my rubber to pieces, colour my pencil in green, and a load of other stuff that always involves making my pencil case or stationary look silly. So I've decided I want to bring a notebook into school to draw in. The only things I want to draw are Tamas. My position in the classroom is right at the front, right next to the computer the second biggest bully in the school likes to use, and next to the most popular chatty gossiping girl in my class. Now, if either the bully or the popular girl found out about this, they'd spread rumours which would doubtless get changed from "She's drawing wierd made-up animals" to "She watches Telly Tubbies" or something else REALLY embarassing like that. I can't change my place in the classroom. Should I bring in my notebook and draw Tamas even if it means I could lose my precious few friends? Or would they not mind and just say my drawings are great and ask about them and end up getting into Tamas because of it? What do you guys think?

Well from what i learned today at school {might be different if your in the us not sure though.... ok thats random} Well in England... Today i told my 'Best friend' i got a tama she told her mate {dont really like her other mate as i think she has been taking em off me} she said it was sad and her mate said its only for 8 year olds!

So if your friends decide that your a 'baby' just because you like a cartoon/ virtual pet that is like any other electronic now it means they are not true friends! The ones who say 'It doesnt matter its just something you like' are true friends and cherish them! But i think you should! Dont let some Immature people get you down! They are most likely to be jealous that you can actually like something and be happy!

Do what you want. I draw random stuff on my papers, and the teachers don't care.

Honestly, if they're your true friends, they won't care what you are drawing and will step up and support you against the popular people making fun, as well as the bully. So.. I would do what makes you happy :)

I agree with what some others have said. If you want to draw, then go ahead and draw. How are they going to know/not know what it is you are drawing anyway. Why should they care. If they make a big deal out of it, shrug it off and tell them that you are just keeping busy instead of nosing into other peoples business.

I used to draw all the time in school on my notebooks and things and no one really gave me trouble and if they did, so what? I don't have an issue with drawings, why should they?

I think you'll be fine! Don't worry so much about jerks and eventually the jerks will leave you alone cause really they are just trying to get attention. Also - if you do draw some pics you should post them up here somewhere for people to see! :D

I agree with this! You should do whatever you want to do and who cares about so called friends leaving you. You still have Tamas!

Dude! If they're true friends they'll never make fun of you. Ive been called gay and girly over 20 times this school year but today I wore my tama necklace and noone said anything. so it just depends though...

Haha, you should see my school planner,it's full of Tamagotchi doodles.i'm quiet in class, always having a book or doodling when theres free time.Just do it,do what makes you happy. ;) I wouldn't worry about what the bully or popular girl think,we have a fair share of those in all of my classes. If they decide to comment on it,fire a quick comeback. They just want attention after all so give it to them...the hard way. ;) If they decide to spread rumors, you know they arn't true.Don't be afraid to take out your Tama on the bus ride home either,I do it all the time.People ask me what it is and call me childish but who cares? In 20 years, none of this will matter and "Mrs.Childish" could become a billionaire.;)I wouldnt worry about it,just draw! :)

Ugh, just imagining how I felt when I took out my Tama on the bus for the first time. I had been promising myself I would do it for DAYS, to get my friend into Tamas, but it was a blank failure. I don't get the bus home anymore because this bully just always sits behind me and whatever friend/ex-friend I'm sitting next to and punches us.

I'm just REALLY afraid that the bully will a) look in my notebook which has some private stuff in it and b ) bully me (like physically, punching pushing etc.) and c) try to destroy my drawings. I'd have to carry my notebook around EVERYWHERE, even to lunch in the canteen. Even into the playground. Once I tried to do such a thing, except I drew a tiny drawing of a horse and put it in my pencil case. Then one day this very same bully stole my pencil case and a week later I found my drawing - in the bin, crumpled up. I do NOT want a repeat of that. I'd have to bring a notebook and lift up the cover, so the that the cover was hiding the stuff in the book from the bully. The popular girl is far less likely to rumage in my stuff and look in the notebook.

Aha! I got it! My brother just came in to tell me that my mom has got me a schoolbag. Not a little rectangular bookbag, or a backpack, but one of those with a string at the top that you pull to tighten. I could keep it in there, right at the botton of my trainers and P.E. kit! Then, when it was time for class, I could take it into class and put it in my tray/draw, which is level with my chest and in front of me so no bully can sneak into it while I'm sitting down.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's 8 AM right now so I'm going to school soon and taking my notebook in the new schoolbag!

Yes purpurn, I definitely will post photos here on my log!
