No, That's silly. Nature balances itself.

@cxam - WTF?!?!?! >_>

Halley's Comet will probably take a reasonable number of us before the sun blows up. Lol, Halleys Comet will hit in less than 5 billion years, in fact well..it'll hit when most of us young people are still alive o.o! but dont worry, we got bomb shelters. Ha.
...Were did you hear about Halley's comet? Unless you are talking about an Asteroid.

The sun can't blow up. It dont have the mass to become a super nova. It will swell up to a Red Giant, however.

I dont mean to be rude to this guy..but..he reckons human should let ourselves become extinct to save all other life from Climate change? Just thought Id ask. I vote NO because well, i love animals and everything, but i would rather keep my own species alive than let them have earth all to themselves..and i think that yes, we make a lot of greenhouse gases, but we can help stop it, we could help it get better, and the animals will have to live in these conditions..and they will die. Animals arent intelegent enough to make it get better..
Actually, I think humans becoming extinct won't happen for a very very long time because

a. Over 265 thousand babies are born a day, so the Earth population (already over 6.6 billion) would just keep rising, and is said to reach 7 billion by 2011.

b. Humans have become possibly the smartest beings on the planet. And most people have the common sense to choose making kids over suicide.

c. To save the planet, all we have to do is become more aware of what will happen if current trends continue and do the right thing to stop them.

No, it would just be horrible to suddenly be told you had to die to save Earth - and anyway, if God didn't want us on Earth, He wouldn't have put us here! He probably knew this was going to happen

Anyway, whoever said that is a weirdo who will no doubt kill himself to help 'Save Earth'.

What is a Red Giant,

and what is Halley's Comet??

Best Wishes

There are people who are insane enough to kill all humans as is for one selfish act.

The sun as a red giant.

A neat scale of the sun's life and what's expected.

The sun's life cycle.

No. By the time that global warming and all that other poop that's going on in the world is actually harmful enough to destroy the world all of us living right now will be dead.

Why should we have to die to save our earth? I thought the point of saving the Earth was to live in it peacefully. But if we're gone then what's the point? I love animals too, but they really wouldnt do anything to help the earth. So No.

Everyone seems to think the Earth will become something from I am Legend.

Probably not true.

Alien Invasion is unlikely, as is Aliens even visiting our planet.

I heard that in a couple billions of years we will be able to inhabit Mars.

But billions of years is a long time.

A year seems long for me.

Anyway, humans shouldn't be extinct, we should just learn a way to stop polluting, and scientists are inventing cars and things that are going to help the environment. Like the fuel cell car that runs on hydrogen.
