Leslie's eyes went white for a moment and she stared at the screen. "..but that's an easy fix."

Little Kinsey held both Claire's hands. "You can do it.~"

Shay cracked up.

Stacey was in the woods somewhere.

Scarlet murmured, "You mean... you can make it better?" She looked relieved beyond belief.

Claire laughed, bouncing up and down by bending her knees, excited to be moving.

Eponine wandered into the woods. "Stacey!" She yelled, looking around. Woah. Everything looked the same.. wait... no... yes! She stumbled forward, and called out, "Stacey!"

 

[Decode]

"That's easy." Leslie moved the stick from Scarlett and placed her hands hovering over her stomach just slightly. Leslie's hands ignited green and she began to heal the baby.

Stacey ignored her.

Scarlet watched, amazed. "I wish I could heal like that. It's definitely useful, right?"

Eponine took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind of the voices. No... they were still talking. She hadn't heard them in so long... But they were back.

"You're not alive!" she yelled, swatting at the air. "Get away!"

 

[Decode]

Leslie nodded. "Until you get under a lot of stress, yes."

Stacey kept ignoring her.

Metax walked outside.

Scarlet nodded slightly, then quietly said to Leslie, "But it must be very hard, too. To have to see so many people in pain."

Eponine finally just laid down and curled up. The voices got stronger, and she could feel them getting closer to her, touching her arms, her legs, breathing on her face. "Leave me alone!"

This is what her father had sent her to counseling for. The dead seemed to follow her, they knew her, they called her friend. But she wanted no part in it. She had embraced her powers over machinery and electronics whole heartedly. But this was the power she ran from, she hated.

Metax, wasted, walked around. He couldn't tell one thing from another, and kept walking into things.

 

[Decode]

"Without pain there isn't love~"

Fani appeared. Her clipboard in hand. "You are not on my list. So why was I summoned here?"

Scarlet thought that over, then nodded, wrapping her mind around the fact. "Yes... I definitely see that."

Eponine wailed, "Look, all of you need to leave me alone! I don't know how to help you! I don't know what to do! I want to help, but I don't know how to do anything!"

Metax bumped into another object. Frustrated, he unleashed a thunderbolt into the air.

"I'm very optimistic."

Fani made the dead people rise out of the ground before slicing them with her scythe. "Better?"

Metax walked into his house.

Scarlet smiled and said, "I wish I knew more people like you."

Eponine looked around. The spirits had stopped. The had vanished into the air, like smoke. "Yes, thank you. Now.. if you don't mind, I really have to talk to someone..." She got up shakily, then headed toward Stacey. "Stacey, please, I need to talk to you."

 

[Decode]

"I do too," she said, smiling.

She finished healing now, clapping her hands together.

Fani disappeared.

Stacey folded his arms and appeared in front of her.

Scarlet murmured, "Is he all right now? Is my baby going to be healthy?"

Eponine looked up him, feeling less buzzed than before, the scare with the ghosts making her more alert. "Stacey, I only want to be with you. I can't picture myself with anyone else. And I'm not like those other girls. Let me prove it!"

 

[Decode]

She nodded. "Better than before."

Stacey smirked. "Okay."

Scarlet said, "Thank you. Thank you so much! You have no idea what this means to our family."

Eponine said, "I'm serious Stacey. But only on one condition. I want to be exclusive."

 

[Decode]

"I lost a baby once. I'm never going to let that happen to anyone else. The pain brought me Shadow though, so I 'm forever grateful."

"I can tr-- I can do that."

Scarlet nodded, understanding the pain Leslie must have felt. "Thank you, again. I'll never be able to repay you fully, for the gift of my son's life, but... I'm in your debt."

Eponine gave him a stern look. "Do you mean that, or are you just toying with me?"
