Dr. Perry smiled. "Relax. The food's pretty good here, at least."

Yuriah glared at him. "Fine. Well then what am I supposed to do now? What happens next?"

"Well, they'll come and do some tests to confirm. Then, if it's true..." He sighed, "Then there's not much we can do."

"Well why bring me here then, if I'm going to die anyways? I don't want to live my last days in a hospital."

"We need to confirm that you actually are with the tests."

"Well then why did you tell me it had spread, and I was going to die?"

"That's what the prilimary tests say. We have to confirm. On the off-chance it was a false positive." Dr. Perry said, fiddling with a pen. "We like to double-check matters of life and death, you know."

Yuriah stared blankly at him.

"Do the tests hurt?"

"I don't think so." Dr. Perry said, "No one's complained."
