Barely. By the time hurricanes reach my area, they aren't all that harmful. We don't get tornadoes and earthquakes. Thank goodness.

We get little Tornados every once in a while. And we have lots of droughts, but I'm so used to those by now. And most of our plant life is from the desert, it's made for this type of thing. The only thing that really suffers is the grass, flowers, and other non-native plants like the ones people put in their gardens. Also, during the summer, and I'm not completely sure of the rules because my parents take care of it, we have strict rules on when you can water your grass. Only at dawn or dusk, on certain days of the week, I think.

We occasionally have flash floods, because here, we don't get "Light drizzle." We'll usually just have one big thunderstorm each summer, and that'll be it. It lasts 3-5 days, and it's really heavy rain. Plus, the ground is all hard, it doesn't soak up water like other places.

We also get hurricanes. Well, not full-on hurricanes, but we get little storms whenever they hit our coast.

The occasional thunderstorm, but nothing exciting weather-wise happens over here.

We get lots of tornadoes in Kansas, very severe thunderstorms, and ice storms, snow storms, and occasionally blizzard conditions in winter. We get a dose of almost everything here.
Hm. I forgot about the ice storms. I am not fit to live here, seeing as I hate wind and the extreme cold and extreme heat. xD

I remember being on the turnpike with a tornado in the direction we were heading. It was baaad. D:
