"Oh yeah... I forgot about that. They probably do." Ze sighed. "I think you should stay here for a few days. Once they forget about you, you can go back."
"Though if you want me gone sooner, I can always head back." Blair stated before rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. "Do you I could mabye borrow some clothes from you for the next few day? If it's no too much to ask."
Ze nodded, thinking for a second. "Um, she was my friend...well, my girlfriend...and she..." he sighed. "Well, she got mad at me, and left. The next day I found out she died." he looked at the ground. "That's why I don't believe in love. I don't understand how something that's supposed to be so amazing is so cruel."
"She was mad about me killing people for the war..." Ze started to cry gently. "The worst part is... She killed herself!!!" he punched the pillow, and cried into it. "And it's all my fault! Trying to protect her, to keep her safe!" he bailed. "I killed one person by mistake, trying to protect her, and she never spoke to me again."
Blair hugged him from behind and frowned. "It's not your fault, she misunderstood and you were just trying to do what was right." She whispered softly. "How long ago was this?"
Ze shook his head. "I don't want this to happen again, especially to you. That's why I feel I need to protect you. You... Remind me of her. But I'm afraid. I don't want to fall in love, not again."
"No...I'm not." Ze turned around, looking at Blair's face. "If I protect you and keep you safe, it'll prove to myself that the death wasn't my fault... All I wanted to do was keep her safe." he looked down. "And don't think this is just about me..." he pulled Blair into a hug. I care about you... I promised to keep you safe, and I will. I'll give my life for your's... I don't know why, but I would." he continued to hold her tight. "Just promise me you won't do anything to hurt yourself, no matter what."
"I'll try my best not too put myself in danger but please, don't ever sacrifice your life for mine. I've been through that once and it still haunts my memories." Blair hugged him back and rested her head on Ze's shoulder.
"Well...at least your mom loved you." Ze said softly, holding onto Blair. "I never even knew my parents, I lived with my grandparents until I was 14 and came here by myself. My dad wanted nothing to do with me, and he killed my mom."
"Sure she was thinking of my safety but she wasn't thinking about my future at all! She was the only family I had and I was still 7 at the time." Blair choked out through her tears.
