Jade looked at him quizzically. "Um... no. Why do you ask?"

He started to climb the tree he was standing next to. "Because, its trouble for me to run through the woods. Now haul yourself up here."

She closed her eyes, "okay.."

Alli blinked.

He looked down beside her, to Araya. "Why did you have him again...?"

"He was getting mad, about Dani." Terra stroked Araya's soft hair as he slept.

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"Hes a spitfire, isnt he?" Everett said, though not unkindly.

She let out a sigh, "he just.. doesn't like Dani. He's so much like Kyouri."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"Like father like son?" He offered, dryly. "...Are you and Ky even... friends, of sorts, anymore?"

Terra shrugged. "i don't know. he.. doesn't talk much."

He sighed. "Hes such an odd guy. like.... you just cant pinpoint his personality."

"Agreed." Terra whispered.

"... Im afraid for their children, and Sorrow." he said, quite frankly. "Not because of that, but because.. Im afraid theyll have more. Sorrows a small girl- I hope she can take it. And look- all of us are starving because of the children we have to feed."

"she wants more kids. she wants 9 of them."

Everett winced. "Then I hope they know how to wait."

She sighed, "he's told her.. to wait."

"Good for him." He said, quietly.

He was going to speak, but Araya started to speak in his dreams- mumbles, but distressed.

Terra picked the boy up, rocking him.

He held Terras arm, letting out whines and contorting his face. As the swaying motion continued, though, it fell back into dull whimpers.
