Giovanni handed Travis to his father, and then rubbed the back of his neck. "The kid looks a lot like you."

Everett stroked Travis, leaning back against a tree. "But he has her hair texture, and her nose." He whispered.

Giovanni smiled, "he still just resembles you though."

Everett smiled a bit, tired, and nodded. "Thanks."

Giovanni nodded, "it's no problem."

"So, what, we look for everyone else.. at Dawn?" He said quietly. "Or before? I have a feeling the others are on the other side of the river."

"yes, at dawn."

"I pray we are safe.." He mumbled. "Until then."

"We will." He mumbled.

"Thats good..." He whispered. "I hope. Anyways.. Jeremys missing?"

He nodded, "yeah.. i haven't seen him."

"Hes further down or already out, I assume." He said quietly.

Giovanni winced, "or dead."

"Lets not think of that..." He mumbled.

He let out half a sob. "I dont want to think we are the only ones alive."

He calmed down a bit. "Im sure as well..." He whispered.

He stroked Travis. "Trav-iss...." He said quietly. "You want to play?"

The kid squeaked, and reached up for him.
