Elda and Giovanni had been climbing out of the river, spitting the water out. They looked around for Jeremy.

Jeremy, though, was not to be found- in his place, a disenchanted and waterlogged Everett, holding his shaken Travis.

Giovanni hurried, and pulled Everett out of the water with Travis. "you okay?"

 

[Self:.:Pity]

Everett coughed out the water, and nodded. He had held Travis out of the water- So he should be fine.

"we have to find the others." Giovanni said, "but we shall rest a bit. Jeremy's missing."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

Everett coughed, several times. "Terra.. Terra..." He whispered, his eyes dull.

"she escaped with the others." Giovanni said. "don't worry, you'll be with her again.."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

He closed his eyes and nodded. "I just.. left here there, though."

"she might be mad at you."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"I had to save Travis...." He whispered. "Going back for her... would be suicide."

Giovanni shrugged, "don't tell me. tell her."

"Im sorry for leaving her." He whispered, to Giovanni.

"it's okay. i know what you were doing." Giovanni looked at Elda, who was sleeping.

Everett looked at Elda, eyes dull. "Will she be okay?"

he nodded, "yeah.. she's just tired."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"Thats... good." He said, laying down, tired as well as depressed.

Giovanni picked up his grandson, bouncing him a bit.

Travis watched Gio's face a bit, shaken by the commotion he had been in.

"your okay now, kid." He whispered.

 

[Self:.:Pity]

He let out a whine, and hugged Gio's arm, closing his eyes. He then reached for daddy, the only familiar face.
