Willard blinked. "Yes, Cat is fine. Is Avar okay? And what's going on?"

Axie looked back over at Avar, who laid back down again. "He tried to protect Catalin. They... well, obviously, they overpowered him. They cracked his skull really good."

Willard bit his lip, "Will he be okay?"

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"Probably. But we cant let him sleep for a while. We have to keep an eye on him."

She reached over and stroked Catalins hair. "Hes looking pretty beat up himself."

Willard nodded. "I took most of the beating though." He kissed Catalin's cheek.

 

[Self:.:Pity]

Catalin had dozed off, all the excitement taking a toll on him.

Axie glanced up in Willard face, and sighed. "I can tell. Do you need anything?"

Willard bit his lip, "should Catalin be sleeping? And I'm fine."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

Vinn came over, and looked at the boy for a little while. "I think he will be fine. Just dont give him asprin or anything."

Willard nodded. "Okay then."

"Why dont you lay him down?"

Willard laid Catalin next to Avar.

 

[Self:.:Pity]

Avar smiled gently, and reached over to pet Catalins hair gently, before closing his eyes again. "...Im sorry." He whispered.

Willard bit his lip. "Avar, stay awake."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"...Why?" He whispered, obviously dozing.

Willard shook him a bit. "You have a head injury. It's bad to sleep within a few hours of getting it."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

He sighed. "I just feel so sick, and tired... sick and tired."

"You have to stay awake." He looked at Vinn. "You got anything that can keep him up?"

 

[Self:.:Pity]

He shook his head. "We dont want to take our chances with his mental health."

Avar let his head loll to the side, saying nothing.

Willard sighed. "What about coffee?" He shook him again.

"We tried that. It just came right back up." He grimaced, and Avar hissed his dissaproval.
