no that does not mean he is gay that means he is a goth that cuts himself and a hate when he does it in front of me but it has bin 2 days and he was online when I emailed him so I know he is avoding me but I don't know what to do I need more help

EMO doesn't mean gay or goth.

EMO is someone who is very emothionally derpressed, and slits their wrists.

A pre emo is someone who is emotionally depressed because of something, but doesn't slit their wrists. Like me.

The book Kat's Fall by Shelley Hrdlitschka has an emo boy.

If you read it, th description of him cutting his wrist is very disturbing...

Give him some more time and keep emailing him, have you actually seen him slit his wrists? EEK! So disturbing, all you can do is give him a bit more time, if not call the relationship off. Get his phone number so that you can call him,ask him if he's ok.

Maybe he's not talking to you becasue he's too depressed, maybe he's in the hostpital because his slits got infected? Who knows, you just have to wait.

Okay not all "emo" people slit their wrists. The only thing that "emo" is is a category that people group other people into who look a certain way. It's starting to completely lose its meaning.

My friends, friend is an EMO but she doesn't cut herself or is depressed. I'm confused now - why do they HAVE to cut themselves? Can they not just be a EMO that doesn't cut themselves?

"Emo" (which is closely related to "scene") is now basically a category of people who look a certain way/listen to a certain type of music.

One thing that's always bothered me is when people put THEMSELVES into categories. You know what I mean? Like saying "I'M EMO." Those kinds of people are the ones who changed themselves to fit a certain look and it's kinda stupid.

So what I'm saying is that just because you look at somebody who could be classified as "emo", that doesn't mean that they feel they are that way or that they cut themselves or whatever the stereotype is

People coooooonstantly call me "emo" just because of the way I have my hair, but I'm not. I just like to look this way.

I know what you're thinking, "But I love him!", but by the sounds of what you have posted, he doesn't like you back. Either he has emotional problems and he just can't handle the relationship, or he just doesn't like you anymore. These things happen, I'm sorry to admit. I had a boyfriend a few years ago that lived here, then moved and we broke up. We started dating again, I went to visit him and we broke up again.

I also met an ex down there as well, and we tried again and broke up shortly after.

Also, he doesn't sound like a very emotionally stable person. My best advice is to stay away from those kinds of people.

I personally think you should find someone in the same area as you. It's a lot better.

Don't even bother with this guy. He cuts himself? He clearly has some emotional problems he has to work out. Long distance relationships in general raaaaaaaaaaaaarely ever work out, but the last thing you want to do no matter what is to get involved with someone whose problems are now going to become YOUR problems.
I'm not saying drop everyone with emotional problems, but it's not worth it especially in a long distance relationship.
