Lucy reached out, touching his cheek. She gently moved his face, so he was looking at her. "Asher... you can't expect me to just forget that, can you? And I want to know how you feel about me. At least now I know... it's safe for me to fall, when I'm ready." Now her eyes were filled with tears. She hadn't wanted to hurt him, not at all. She didn't want things to be awkward. All she wanted was to be honest with him.

Lucy and Eric live in the same apartment.

Jesse is over there visiting them.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

"I know, and that's why I said I'm sorry. It was thoughtless of me to say it. I'm not upset with you for not saying it back to me, I'm upset with myself for saying it to you in the first place," Asher told her. "Please don't cry, I promise you haven't hurt me."

Lucy was crying now, and it was too late to stop it. Now she was worried that he had said it without meaning it. Did he mean it, or not? she kept asking herself internally. She curled up, into his chest.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Truth was, although he knew her reasons, and although he'd told her it didn't hurt, he did love her, and it did hurt, if only slightly. It hurt less, because he knew exactly why she couldn't say it back to him, but he had meant what he'd said. He held her to him while she cried. He had no idea what to say, or what to do, so he just carried on doing what he was doing.

Lucy finally stopped crying, and drew herself away from him. "I want to love you. But I just met you today, and with all that's happened... I'm crazy about you, I really am. Please, please understand. I'm just not ready to say it yet."

 

[KERFUFFLE]

"I know. I told you it was fine, that I understood and I meant that. And I meant what I said, I just know that I shouldn't have told you, I should have known better. And I won't say it again until you're ready, okay?" Asher wiped away a stray tear from her cheek.

Asher and Lucy are in a completely different room in the apartment.

Lucy sniffled a little bit, then nodded slowly. Quickly, she wiped her eyes, and quietly said, "I'm sorry that I started crying... I have no idea what came over me." She then pulled him close, and just held him to herself.

Mari sighed.

I'm heading off for a bit. Not sure what time the X Factor's on until, but I'll be back after it xD

"No, it's okay, I understand, really I do. I shouldn't have said the things I did, so I'm the only one who should be sorry. And I am." He hugged her tightly.

Lucy said, "You don't have to apologize, okay? Don't be sorry." Afterwords, she just held him, silently, closing her eyes, resting her cheek against his chest. It was nice, just having him in her arms, holding him close.

Jesse said, "Do you want a soda?" He went back to the fridge, and dug around inside it. "We have.. coca cola, or grape... or orange."

"Making fog is fun~" she giggled, her face slightly pink.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

He was silent, too, just holding her to him gently. He only nodded in reply to what she'd told him. He was thinking a lot, the main cause of his silence, though he didn't even know himself what he was focussed on.

Mari is brittish.

"No thank you.Thanks for asking though,I like kindness,the world would be a better place if we had more,not much better though"she said

Eric grinned. "I think so too!" He exclaimed. "I don't get why most adults don't see it that way. I mean, it's so pretty, right? And it just floats above everything!"

Lucy suddenly yawned, exhausted from her exciting day. "I think I need to go to bed soon." She told him quietly. But then she added, "I don't want to sleep yet. I want to stay up with you."

Jesse shrugged. "Kind? I'm not kind. I'm just being.... courteous. Believe me, it's not normally in my nature." He drank some more soda, staring at the wall.

Asher played with the ends of her hair and smiled slightly. "Well, I can stay up a bit longer, I'm not too exhausted," he said. "I told you, I'm here because I'm with you, so you can stay up with me as long as you like."
