Brooke began to trace Brayden's wet skin with her finger and eyed him closely. He was incredibly good looking. His tan, his body, his face. Brooke speculated that he could easily be one of the best looking guys she had ever met up until that point. She couldn't resist not keeping her hands off of him.

Auburn listened and nodded her head. She knew the song well. She and Sterling had always loved listening to The Fray and it touched her heart that Blaze would use such a song to parallel the situation with Cade. As he finished the song, Auburn sat silently for a few moments before speaking to Blaze, a touch a sadness in her voice. "Who's this person that's come between you?" she asked. "Was it a girl?"

"It was this girl that Cade liked ever since he was in Seventh Grade.. We actually both liked her." Blaze looked down at his fingers, which lightly touched the strings of the acoustic guitar. He absentmindedly touched each string, feeling the weight of each, and letting the smooth texture of the thinner silver strings run over his fingers. That was the best he had ever played that song; he could remember the first time he ever played it. Cade had been there, listening, and it had been back in 7th grade as well.

Brayden smiled as she traced his skin. He put one arm around her, and pulled her close; he just couldn't resist being close to Brooke. "I'm liking you a lot." he said softly.

Meanwhile, Cade felt very deeply changed inside. He looked up at his brother, and bit his lip. Of course. It was his fault from being such a jerk all of his life. Not wanting to spy on Blaze and Auburn any longer, he turned around, and then walked back into the suite. While he had been being emo, he had also been pepping himself to go back into the real world again. He knew he couldn't hide in a hidden suite forever. Opening the door, he walked into the hallway, and back into reality. Then, taking a breath, he casually and calmly walked his way down the hallway to the staircase. He ascended it at a moderate pace, and then the first thing that caught his eyes when he reached the top of the stairs was Angel, sitting by the library wall. Taking a deep breath, he began to walk up to her.

Brooke was loving this. Her first few hours at the mansion and she already had a georgous guy wrapped around her finger. She placed a hand on his chest seductively and wrapped her opposite arm around his waist, bringing her pretty face very close to Brayden's. "You sir are extremely sexy," she purred and grinned.

Auburn nodded sadly and silently waited for Blaze to continue.

Brayden laughed a little. "You're not that bad yourself." He grinned. "You know, I'm normally incredibly shy around girls. But with you, I feel really comfortable." He said softly.

Blaze fought for words, but each one only sounded more and more pathetic. He felt on the verge of a mental breakdown; the only thing keeping him from doing so was his dignity, and the fact he needed to continue his story. Staring intently through the glass fences of the balcony toward the trees, he continued. "That girl asked me to homecoming, and I said yes. Cade was.. Well.. He said nothing until later, when.. Cade and I got into an argument halfway through sophomore year. It was so bad, we both got suspended for three days since eventually, we just started beating each other up. Then, he decided that abusing me verbally and physically wasn't going to help; he decided spreading rumors that I juiced and distributed HGH would work. I nearly lost my scholarship to the school I wanted to go to because of him. Finally, I told him we should just fight it out, no more rumors or any of that stuff. And we did, at home.." Blaze slowly unrolled his jacket sleeve to reveal two ugly bruises. "We said a bunch of stuff. He called me things that I don't want to say; and I said equally bad things back..."

"Hi," Angel sighed, it seemed that her voice was weak like. Angel gave a small pat on the ground next to her, she gave a small smile at Cade.

"Where did you go?" asked Angel.

Shaula woke up, and decided to see Angel. "A person dies without being social," she murmured to herself, "It's a scientific fact."

She finally found Angel, and seeing Cade there with her, she had to speak up. Standing in the doorway, she laughed, "I hate to say I told ya so Angel, but, heh, I told ya so!"

She laughed a little more, and walked up to them.

"Hey. It's good to have you back."

She smiled.

Cade didn't say anything to Shaula; just like his brother, he still felt a bit dazed and the feel to be alone. "Yeah, well... Listen, I'm going to stay; I just came here to tell you two that. But I need alone time, so I'll be going now." He walked back down the stairs, and then felt the sudden urge to see Blaze. He stopped halfway down, and stopped, wondering whether to just go talk things out with Blaze, or pull a Blaze and tell someone about it. He hesitated, and looked back at Angel and Shaula.

A lump formed in Auburn's throat and she tried to fight the tears that raged like a storm in her eyes. It was all so incredibly sad. Auburn scooted over close to Blaze and put a hand tenderly on his leg. "Oh Blaze," she whispered and caressed his leg in a comforting manner. Auburn mentally kicked herself because she just couldn't think of anything to say that would help. She had no idea what it was like to be in such a quandary. She and Sterling had always been so incredibly close. "I hope you and Cade work this out. Because something could happen to one of you and then you'll be living the rest of your life in regret. You never know what you have until it's gone."

Brayden's stomach growled, and he blushed in embarrassment. "Do you think we could go eat now?" He asked, slightly laughing. He looked at the position they were in, starting to feel a bit uncomfortable.

"We did try." Blaze felt his own throat fill with the familiar, ugly lump that could only be tears. He swallowed it back, not wanting to cry in front of Auburn. "Before we came here, and sort of while we were here. It sort of worked.. But after awhile, it was clear that there was too much between us to get back together. Just before you and Sterling showed up, we had a minor argument, with only a few punches thrown." He turned around and showed a small bruise on the back of his neck.

Auburn shook her head in disappointment. "You guys shouldn't fight," she said sadly and gingerly touched Blaze's neck. "Especially over a girl. It's not worth ruining your relationship over." Again, Auburn felt bad. It felt like she was just rubbing it in his face. It's not like he and Cade were fighting because they enjoyed it. Regardless, Auburn could think of nothing to say but kindly point out the obvious. She sat for a moment, engrossed in her thoughts. She immediately thought of Sterling's whereabouts and slightly wished that he were there. He always had something smart and thoughtful to say.

Brooke frowned and stood, reluctant to leave her warm perch in the hot tub. That as well as the fact that things were heating up nicely between her and Brayden. At least, so she thought. Not letting the disappointment show on her face, Brooke got out of the hot tub and attempted to dry off as best she could with the towel she had brought out with her. She smiled at Brayden and motioned for him to come on. "I need a cigarette anyway," she stated with a small laugh.

Toby had no idea where anyone was. As he was peering out a window near the staircase leading downstairs he saw a hot tub. Oh, and people!. H e almost skipped outside. Which was quite embarrassing as he was a grown man. He walked right up to Brooke and Brayden and held out his hand.

Brayden took a small nod. "You would have to stop in your room, I don't smoke." he told her. Getting out of the tub, he got two towels and handed one to her; he wrapped the other around himself.

"No." Blaze looked back down at the ground, eyes tracing the cracks in the cement. "It wasn't just her; although yes, she was the one who started the problem. It was mainly over everything- Cade's rumor spreading, the other fights, a bunch of other crap.." Although Blaze was normally very good about not using cuss words, it was the only word he could think of to describe everything else. He slowly got up, and then began to walk back into the suite. He placed his guitar, very gently and slowly, into it's black case. He slowly zipped it up.

Brooke dried her hair with her towel and grinned at Toby. Another good looking guy. She extended her hand and took his in a firm handshake. "Hello."

Auburn waited for Blaze to return. Still deep in thought, Auburn crossed her legs and leaned forward with her arms resting on her knees. She wanted so much to help the brothers. But what could she do?

Blaze's eyes stung, but no tears fell. He simply got up and began to totter back toward the balcony, aimlessly. He slid the glass door open and then shut it again before taking his seat besides Auburn again. He was at a loss of words.

Auburn looked at Blaze and put on a smile. "It's never too late to make amends," she said softly. "Let your brother know you miss him. I'm sure he feels the same way inside."
