Cade flinched, startled as he had been snapped out of his trance, but he quickly calmed himself and said, "Thanks.. Used to draw all the time, but then high school and sports took over. Since I had nothing better to do, I just decided to draw despite not having done it since middle school. After all, it's only fun for-" He gestured to Blaze and Auburn, "People like that here. The rest of us are just bored people without communication to all else."

Angel gave a weak smile, "I could never draw that good, I was too loaded with home work all the time," Angel sighed and continued, "the birds I draw are unrecognizable."

Josh opened the dorm and dumped his luggage inside, then locked it again, not bothering to take a look inside. He wanted to see the girls up for offer more.

"Really? No way, here!" He flipped the sketchbook to an empty page before hurling it up at Angel with a pencil. "Everybody is good at art in their own ways.. Most people diss their own art when their art can actually be pretty cool. If you're going to call your birds lame, draw one!" Cade had no idea what had prompted him to suddenly do what he had just done, but in his brain, the Cade living inside of him just shrugged.

Shaula fled into her room, passing Cade and Angel, and collapsed on the bed. Why her? Why was she to suffer all this agony?

Angel drew something that looked more like a giraffe that bred with a blob than a bird. Angel passed it back to Cade, "see? I told you, yours are way better."

Angel gave a quite smile, before pretending to press her bun like a button.

Cade looked at it. "Hmm.. It doesn't look too bad; I have to admit, the neck is a little long. You may want to round that a bit. But otherwise, it's pretty good." He smiled at her before turning back to his sketchbook, and sighing, mood suddenly changing. "I wish I never answered the letter to come here. It was so pointless."

"Well, yeah I guess," said Angel, scratching the back of her neck, "I keep thinking that I will be the only one coming out here without a partner, everyone else seems to have found someone."

Angel put her sight to the ground again and sighed. She began to try and perk up her mood, "but at least I'll find some friends," she smiled and lowered her voice, "I think/"

Kaylin's eyebrows furrowed together when Josh had walked past nonchalantly. She was definitely not used to that. Boys were usually all over her flirting. But a challenge was always fun to Kaylin. She skipped up the steps and leaned on the railing, looking completely casual, but at the same time, really good.

"Well, hang on. Give me a list of who's already together, other than my brother and that one girl," Blaze said, as he slunk down a little lower down the wall. "And I figure, by the end of this, we're all going to be guaranteed to have more friends."

"Uh," Angel struggled for words, "No one else, I guess, but everybody seems so much prettier than me, and they'll be getting the guys." She slumped on the wall next to him, "I just haven't had any luck with love in the past, so I highly doubt I'll be coming out with a guy by my side." Angel sighed and fidgeted with her thumbs.

Shaula felt awful, so she racked her brain for ideas to get this issue off of her mind. "No.. No.. OH GOD NO!! No.. Wait, maybe.. No I can't, or atleast not in public, oh well.. If it gets love off of my mind.."

She immediately got out her iPod, turned it up loud, and began dancing crazily to the wess dance song. It seemed to work..

Cade listened with arms crossed before replying, "Anybody ever tell you that you're a pretty negative person? If you spend so much time just sulking like that, duh, all the guys are going to go for the other girls."

"Hey!" Angel chuckled, offended but thought it was pretty funny at the same time, "well, I haven't exactly had the best time this year, so I'm probably going to be negative for a while," her smile turned into a straight line, "but I wasn't as bad as I was last week, so I'm glad I came here when I wasn't too depressed."

"Hmm." Cade yawned. "Well you were one of the music people who hung out with the rest of the music people the first week, until most of those people started to pair up. You're like, the only stray one left."

"I don't really like music much," said Angel, "I have to admit, music can be fun, but well, I'm ditching my keyboard until this thing is done."

Angel sighed, "as in, until I get out of this mansion." Angel struggled for words to continue the conversation, "how was your day so far?"

"Sucky, about the same as the past two weeks which were mostly spent being jealous of the musical people, and then that one rude girl who came into the mansion yesterday who smoked and definitely seems like the type that would spoil everybody's days." Cade shuddered at the memory. Yuck; he secretly hoped though that the girl (Brooke) would accidentally light the mansion on fire, so that way he could just ditch everything and go home.

"How could you be jealous of music people with your talent of drawing?" Angel questioned, giving a friendly smile, "oh, so there's a new girl, huh? By the sound of it, I won't be conversing with her. What did she do?"

Shaula's crazy dancing had gotten out of hand, as she almost tripped on something and twirled dizzily out into the hallway. She soon fell back into her room. She did not realize what a spectacle she made of herself.

"Well, nobody else here gives a heck about art. There's like only two groups of people here: Musical people and all others. And let's just say, the all others group doesn't care about art and the music people definitely don't care. Art isn't going to help me here. Plus, in real life, art doesn't mean anything any more. It would have like, 1300 years ago, but not now." He paused before continuing. "And the new girl- Brooke, I think- she came in, right? I was curious to see who came in so I took a peek from upstairs, she saw me, and I saw her, and I knew she was definitely not my type. So I walked away to go to the rec room to get some coffee, and she FOLLOWED me. And then tried to get me to carry her bags up since she was too lazy to do it herself. That's also when she lit the cigarette. Luckily, that one girl- Shaula, I think? Came in and was so peppy and kind it was almost funny. She actually took the bags of Brooke up for her."
