Mikey took both of her hands in his, squeezing them gently, gazing at her fondly. "Oh Angie... I love you too. And I promise I'll do everything I can to make you happy. For all of our days." He leaned down again and gave her a soft kiss. "Always believe that."

Sadie scrunched up her face playfully, then kissed him briefly before burying her face in his shirt. "Mm... you smell really nice," she mumbled into his chest, smiling. "You made a good choice in getting that body soap."

Prudence eased into stronger reactions, just like he wanted her to, and she felt like she was going to burn from pure want for him. It frustrated her a bit, how easily he could make her react, but she loved it too much to care.

Angie said to Mikey, "You don't have to worry too much about trying so hard. Just by being with you, and you being who you are, I couldn't be happier and I could never ask for anything more than that." She kissed him back gently for a while, for once enjoying their softer approach. And well, when he looked at her like that, it gave her butterflies, because it was a look of total adoration that she'd never seen on any other of her boyfriend's faces.

Brandon chuckled and said to her, "It's my favourite one, so even if you hated it, it wouldn't make any difference," he joked. "But I am glad you like it, because it' always better when you can cuddle up to someone and like the way they smell. I would know, I always think you smell wonderful." He wrapped his arms around her.

Evander smirked against her skin, thoroughly pleased with her reactions to him. He kissed the spot once more, and then drew his lips away again. As he'd done a little earlier, his mouth was still near enough that his breath could still be felt on her skin. He wanted to see now what she's say when he was teasing her again.

Mikey quietly said, "But it's my nature, to do everything I can for the people I care about. Sadie, you, even my parents. And I'm never going to stop, either." He grinned, then held her close, pressing her against his chest. Holding her just felt so darn right.

Sadie yawned, having trouble keeping her eyes open. "I'm exhausted," she said to Brandon, smiling slightly. "Would you mind staying with me while I sleep? You don 't have to or anything, I was just wondering."

Prudence pouted, sticking out her lower lip, and quietly told him, "You are being so unfair to me, Evander. I mean, really, this is the second time you've done this to me. It's too much for little old me to handle!" She cuddled close, her back firmly against his chest.

"I know you're like that. It's just one reason of many why I love you so much," Angie replied softly, with a quiet giggle at his grin before she hugged him back, her arms tightly around him, burying her face in his chest. It felt right to be held this way, she loved to be close to him.

"Of course I will," Brandon said with a small smile, pressing his lips to her forehead for a little while. "Unless my other girl needs me, I'll be here."

Evander chuckled quietly, almost mischeviously, a childlike element to it, liking how his teasing affected her. "I'm sorry," he said, kissing her pouted lips just once. He then turned a little more serious, but in a more seductive sort of sense, "I'll stop teasing now, don't worry. It's just now about whether you've gotten over it or whether you wanted me to carry on from before I started teasing you."

Mikey yawned quietly, then couldn't help laughing about it. Really, he seemed to know the perfect way to kill a pleasant moment. "I'm sorry, Ang," he told her, shaking his head slightly. "I guess I'm just tired from all the craziness that's been going on lately. So... I think it's high time we hit the sack, then we can plan out the honeymoon tomorrow. You know, check the travel agent stuff, look at traditional backpacking supplies, that sort of thing. Also, we might want to make sure we don't draw too much attention to ourselves. I don't know how traditional villages will take to vampires, you know."

Sadie nodded slightly, letting her head loll to the side, as she finally let sleep consume her. It was nice, being able to be so close to him again as she slept. The space between them during her pregnancy had been a little bit hard for her to bear, because she was used to feeling completely protected. After the scare during the pregnancy, she felt on edge at night, always worried someone would get her, or Brandon, or the baby. Her life had expanded, and now it included two very important people, and they constantly occupied her mind, causing her to stay awake a lot.

Prudence turned to face him then, leaning forward slowly, until his back was on the ground, and she was on top of him, smirking. "Are you trying to beat me at my own game, baby," she said softly, raising an eyebrow as if to chastise him. "Really, you'll soon learn it is a game you probably won't win." She leaned down, softly kissing at his neck, letting her fangs graze his skin ever so slightly. Then, she told him, her lips still pressed to his flesh, "I'm only going to stop when you ask, and if you don't say anything in time, before it gets too late to stop, that's your fault. Understood?"

"No problem," Angie replied, pulling away to look up at him, giggling quietly, "I completely understand. I'm tired, too." She gave him a peck on the lips and then got up off the arm of the couch, pulling him with her into the bedroom. She looked thoughtful as she sat down on the bed and started taking her shoes off, "I guess so long as we don't do anything so obviously vampire-like, people won't know. But you are right, small european village communities may be a bit too suspicious and superstitious about vampires for our liking."

Brandon had noticed that Sadie had slept a lot less for a long while now. Even while he'd been asleep, he could feel it in his subconciousness. So it was nice for him to know that she had slept soundly for a change, because she definitely needed it, and deserved it. Cosette seemed to think so, too, hardly stirring at all. She did just once, needing some blood. But she hadn't been loud enough to wake Sadie and Brandon had so swiftly, gracefully and silently slipped out of bed that, when he got back into bed, it was as if he'd never left her.

"I can do my best; it's better than not even trying," Evander replied, smiling coyly at her. He shivered at her touch, her kisses on his neck, and she definitely already had the upper hand. He replied with a smirk taking form on his countenance, "I'll agree to that. Try me."

Mikey pulled his shirt off, then changed into his pajama pants, deciding to go shirtless for the night. He stretched a bit, unable to stifle another yawn as he finally sat down on the bed. He wriggled under the covers, then yanked on them, pulling them down, exposing the crisp, clean mattress and new bedspread he had bought. Being married meant a little bit of renovation, of course, and he liked having new sheets and such. He patted the empty space, it being intended for his wife. "Well, if all else fail, when we get to eastern Europe, we could try sticking to bigger cities for the most part, maybe go through the woods or something."

Sadie remained pleasantly asleep, only moving slightly when Brandon left. However, she was so deeply asleep, nothing could disturb her. When Brandon returned, she subconsciously cuddled closer to him, burying her face in the front of his shirt, instinctively comforted by his presence.

After a couple hours, she woke up, looking around the room with bleary eyes. It was still nighttime, that much was certain... everything was it it should have been. Still, she had a strange suspicion something bad was going to happen soon.

Prudence moved, her face barely apart from his, and she just stared him down, as if looking into his very soul, via his eyes. And then, very swiftly, she kissed him, making it seem as if it hadn't happened at all. Her lips curled into a smile, and she kissed him again, letting it last just a bit longer. And so, it continued that way for a while, until she was kissing him as passionately and forcefully as she knew how.

Angie slipped out of her dress and stole one of Mikey's coathangers and put it in his wardrobe for the time being. She then stayed in her underwear and got into bed, finding herself in the spot her husband had made for her, cuddling up to him closely. "Should work. Evander knows all about this kind of thing. I'll talk to him about it sometime tomorrow," she replied, nodding, and then gave him a quick kiss. "It'll definitely be an adventure, anyway."

Brandon was awake when Sadie opened her eyes. He smiled and whispered, "Evening, baby. Did you sleep okay?" She definitely seemed to have slept well, anyway. But something about the atmosphere was a little too tense for his liking.

Evander let her lead, and in the meantime his hand found her hair while the other wrapped around her waist, pulling her as closely as he could, and he returned her kisses with equal passion. He knew she was just teasing him a little bit by drawing it out. But, well, this was better than anything he'd felt in a long, long time, and he didn't care.

Mikey wrapped his arms around her, liking how she seemed to fit so perfectly into his arms, his beautiful wife. He took her left hand, fiddling with the ring that graced one of her fingers, still in a state of disbelief that she was really his, forever. In his mind, he was already thinking of things he could do for her, just small things to let her know that he cared, for every day. He knew he would have to repeat many things, seeing as forever was a really long time, but hopefully he could occasionally find something original.

Sadie nodded and smiled, but it was short lived, because the feeling kept growing in the pit of her stomach. "Honey, I have a feeling something is wrong. I can't shake it, I feel like something bad has happened or will happen." She climbed out of bed, suddenly worrying about Cosette. She ran into the room, then started to scream. "Cosette! Where are you!? Cosette!! Cosette!" Her voice rose, its pitch gaining intensity, until she was no longer coherent, but wailing instead. "Brandon!!!!" She managed to sob. "Brandon!!!!!"

Prudence drew back slightly, kissing down to his neck, to the spot she knew he liked best. She nibbled at it at first, then sunk her fangs into his skin, drawing blood by sucking on the spot. As she did that, her hands found their way to his chest, gently tracing his skin with her fingertips.

Angie just watched him for a moment, with a gentle smile. It often didn't feel real to her that she was married to this perfect man, but little moments like these, and just seeing the ring on her finger reassured her a little more. She said to him, "So you really are my husband. I think you'll have to keep reminding me every day until I get used to it. Which might be never, so be prepared."

Brandon was in the room in seconds. He opened his mouth ask what was wrong, but then he saw for himself that Cosette was no longer there. He panicked then. He rarely ever panicked, but at that moment in time, he was frantic. He ran to the window to look out for any traces of a recent intruder.

Evander shivered, groaned and reacted in plenty of other ways, his body almost writhing in pleasure underneath her at the sensation. "Prudence," he managed to say after some time. "I don't think I could possibly ask you to stop now. Don't make me wait too much longer."

Mikey scrunched up his face, in playful dismay. "Really? Well, I guess that means I'll have to find thousands of ways to try and convince you, and let you know that this is all real... you and me, our new life, everything." He kissed her hand delicately, trying to be like a gentleman. After all, that was how he was raised, his parents had drilled tasteful manners towards girls into his mind. Pulling himself from his thoughts, he kissed her forehead and murmured, "Believe me, I'm still in that sort of state. Hopefully I'll be able to shake it off eventually."

Sadie started dashing around the house frantically, her eyes large and wild, terror seizing her. "Cosette's gone!" She screamed, her heart pounding thunderously, her fear getting the best of her. "Our baby! Our baby!" She let out a ghastly shriek, falling onto her hands and knees in the middle of the kitchen, consumed by grief. "Why!? Why!?" She seemed almost like a madwoman, the way she was acting, but who could blame her. Their child, their miracle, was gone, vanished into thin air. She wasn't old enough to wander off, and someone in the family would have asked her permission to hold Cosette or play with her. How could she have let this happen?

Prudence licked the spot she had bitten, making sure to get every last drop of blood she had drawn out. She smirked upon hearing Evander's strangled words, and gently undressed him, suddenly moving very slowly, as if trying to taunt him further. "Well, someone is being demanding now, hm," she said softly, her smile widening. "All right then, I guess I can do you a favor this one time."

"I just can't believe I've met a man so perfect as you, and that you love me back. And that you're now my husband. Things like that never happen to ordinary people," Angie chuckled. She smiled when he kissed her hand; he loved how gentlemanly he was, he was so sweet and cared about her so much, which was something she wasn't used to, yet he was so good at it. "And, I promise to find my little ways of reminding you every day, until you're used to, it, too."

"Sadie, don't start blaming yourself. I was awake, I'm more to blame for this. I just can't believe I didn't hear anything.." Brandon said. He sniffed around and then grimaced. "Smells more like a wolf's been here, if you ask me. Not sure who, but there's definitely something like that. I can't believe they're pushing their luck again, though, this is sick."

"Well, you were right. You won, I lost, and it was pretty easy for you," Evander replied with a weak, almost humourless chuckle. "I love you, Prudence, and I just can't wait." His heart was racing now, and it sped up every time she touched him, to the point where he willed it to slow down in case it stopped working or something. He undressed her once she was done with him and pulled her closer yet.

Mikey cuddled closer to her, smiling down at her with total adoration and love for her, willing her to know that what he felt was completely true, not fabricated. "Angie, I will spend every waking and sleeping moment thinking of you, and how I can make you happy. I can't put myself first anymore; I'm physically unable to do it, even if I try. And believe me, you're far from ordinary. You're the most special person in the world."

Sadie sat down in a chair, hiding her face in her hands due to shame and regret. "No, I shouldn't have gone to sleep, I should have stayed up!" She wailed, her body trembling from the total shock of the situation. "Our baby... why would anyone do anything to her? She hasn't hurt anyone, she's so beautiful and sweet. She's only a baby!!!!" She started wailing again, jumping to her feet and rushing into the living room, throwing herself down on the couch. "Cosette!!!" She howled, the pain too much to bear.

"I love you too, Evander," she whispered, pushing against him firmly, letting her hands move freely on him. "And I can't wait, either." She brought her lips to his neck once more, kissing his skin roughly.

*skip*

"You know I'll do the same for you. You're my reason for breathing, for living, and all I want to do is make you happy, for the rest of our eternity," Angie said, taking one of his hands in hers now, squeezing it gently, fiddling with his own wedding ring, and that also helped to make it feel more real. She shook her head and chuckled at his last comment, "You would say that. But I'm no different to anybody else."

Brandon crouched in front other her and took her hands in his. "Sadie, you can't deprive yourself of sleep forever. The truth is, we should have been okay to have left her. You can't spend every waking moment with your child, it just doesn't work like that. Please, stop blaming yourself and just help me find her, okay? Calm down and help me find her."

Evander continued to kiss Prudence passionately, and slowly but surely started to lessen the intensity, until they came to a stop and he pulled away from her, apparently at a loss for breath-- even though he didn't actually need any-- and for words as well. He rolled over so that he was on his back and she was on top of him and tried to gather himself. He couldn't believe that he'd actually found somebody he'd love so much that he'd be willing to go through that again, but he had, and he was elated.

Sadie pulled herself together as much as she was able, wiping her eyes and nose furiously, before getting up and grabbing her cell phone. She made a frantic call to Mikey first, and couldn't help the trembling of her voice. "M-Mikey? It's Sadie. Please, I know you're b-busy--" She sobbed. "But I need your help. C-Cosette's gone missing, and Brandon thinks the wolves did it. Apparently the nursery reeks of wolf, and... oh please, just come over as fast as you can!" She hung up, then made another call, this time contacting Prudence. "Prudence! .... Excuse me? No, no, yes... Cosette's missing, we think it's the wolves. Please hurry to the house, we don't have any time to lose!" Once again, she hung up, then went and got dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and sneakers, ready to make any sort of long trek necessary to get their daughter back.

Mikey murmured, "You can't possibly say that. You're so kind, and loving, and beautiful. That's pretty rare in people these days. But you actually match, inside and out. That's a diamond in the rough, you know." He almost drifted to sleep, when his cell phone started ringing. "Excuse me," he said apologetically, reaching down and pulling his phone out of his jeans pocket. Then, he listened as Sadie's voice greeted him. But the tone in her voice terrified him, and his expression grew grave as Sadie explained what was happening. "Oh no... we'll be right over, Sadie. Hang tight." He jumped out of bed, yanking his clothes on. "Angie, someone's taken Cosette, and Sadie needs us to help figure out just where they've gone."

Prudence rolled onto her back beside him, staring up at the sky with a sense of wonder. "Wow..." She murmured, reaching out to take his hand in hers, entwining their fingers. "That was amazing." She rolled onto her side, teasingly nibbling at his neck. "You know, we could make this a regular thing if you--" She was cut off by her cell phone. "D*mn. Hold on, babe." She grabbed her phone and answered, trying not to sound flustered. "Hello?... Woah, you sound terrible!? Is everything okay?.... Is it you?.... Cosette?... Oh my... oh... I should have known this would happen. Yes, we're on our way." She started getting dressed, then briskly told Evander, "Get dressed hot stuff. Cosette's been kidnapped by the wolves."

Brandon just waited for Sadie to finish phone calls and getting dressed, looking around for any more clues as to which of the wolves was behind this. When she was done, he lead her downstairs, then went to find Blaise and Kyle. He was surprised to see that Evander still wasn't back; he wondered where he was. So, he called him. "Evander? Where are you? Oh.. Really? Anyway, so I guess you know what's up, just please get here soon, okay? Cheers," he said, and then hung up. "Evander's on his way," he told Sadie.

Angie had watched Mikey with a serious expression while he was on the phone-- hearing by his tone of voice and by his own facial expression that something was very wrong. She gasped when he told her what was going on, jumping out of bed and pulling on some more sensible clothes-- well, sensible, in Angie terms of the word, anyway-- from her overnight back. "I'm ready to kick some serious wolf a'ss," she said, after having finished putting on her shoes.

"It was," Evander breathed. Of course, the joy of it all was short lived when he heard the news, and he quickly got dressed again. His phone vibrated in his back pocket, it was Brandon. "Hello?" he said, picking it up. "Sorry, I've actually been out. Yes, with someone. Prudence, if you must know. Yeah, I know what's going on, we'll be right there." He reached for Prudence's hand and then they would start heading back for the house. "Sorry. Those wolves know when to ruin a moment, don't they?"

Sadie looked confused. "He's... but I thought he was still here... huh." She shook her head quickly, then tried calling Lucy.

When the young woman answered, her voice sounded high pitched, and strained. Sadie quickly turned the speaker phone on, for the others to hear. "Sadie, listen to me, I have to tell you what's going on. They've... they've got me... and Cosette... we don't have much time. It's very important--" Silence. Then, deep breathing on the other line. A cool voice said, "Don't expect to see her, or the urchin, ever again. Good night." The line went dead after that.

Mikey said, "If Max is the one who's behind this, I'll kill him with my bare hands." He was infuriated at this point. Couldn't those wolves just leave things alone? Really, they were meddlesome creatures, and he had never felt any anger toward them before. But this was completely different; it turned the tables, in fact. He put on his shoes, then took Angie's hand and ran outside, hoisting her onto his back swiftly. Then, he took to the rooftops, his heart beating thunderously.

"Well, yes, they do. Although I don't feel so bad for myself, seeing as it wasn't us they targeted. It was a baby..." She swore loudly, rushing up to get her motorcycle. She yelled, "Hurry up Evander! Who knows how much time the kid has before--" She stopped short, not wanting to say anything more. It would only get her worked up, and that wouldn't help anything.

Ah, interesting Wicked related fact. Adam Lambert understudied Fiyero on the Broadway production. =D

"He was with Prudence, of all people," Brandon clarified, seating himself on the arm of one of the living room armchairs. After the phone call was made, he said, "If it was the wolves, why would they have taken Lucy? I didn't think Max would turn against his sister like that.."

"Just make sure to let me get a piece of him, too, the *******," Angie agreed. When they were out, on the rooftops, she was aware of every sight, sound and smell. Wolves were stupid, they didn't always hide themselves particularly well, so they may have left something behind.

"I can't believe even a wolf would go low enough to want to kill a baby. It's sickening," Evander said, grimacing. He got onto the back of the back of the motorcycle.
