My Best Friend is sorta what you would call punk-ish.

I mean, I'm a girly-girl, but I'm not afraid to get down and dirty.

We all rock our own signature styles, and there's nothing wrong with that. :(

Nope. I'm a tomboy-ish girl. I love to fight, pick fights, play sports and I don't like pink (But I won't refuse wearing it) and I don't wear skirts or dresses that often unless it's hot out.

I was a goth for Halloween and I practiced the part with a friend and a few days before, I actually tried it out at a different friends house and they actually believed I died my hair black.

Plus my mom says that one of the best colors on me would probably be black and darker colors. I think eventually I will dye my hair a darker color if I really feel like it. Might work better with my brown eyes than a lighter color.

I wear a lot of black clothes, but I don't label myself as gothic.

Black makes me look thinner and I think it looks good on me, so the majority of my clothes are black.

As for black makeup, I rarely ever wear makeup but when I do it's always black eyeliner and mascara, and either black or colored eye shadow. Like today I have black eyeliner and pink eye smudge on ^^

I'm wearing black right now... I like black as a colour (Or shade) and I like to wear it.

I'm not gothic. The only makeup I wear is on an occasion where I need to wear it and It's not tested in animals.

Well it depends on the mood I'm in and being goth is not bad or anything its cool like some times i wear the PINK victoria secret clothes but like today I;m wearing a black shirt and jeans, then later when i go to my dance at my school i'm wearing the same jeans with a black cami and a red shirt over it. Its like im sorta punk (im getting red/pink streeks in my hiar probably this summer) but like i love the victoria secret clothes and i wear hollister and abercrombie, areopostale and sum hot topis and like i have soo many dif colors, my best friend wears all black and black make up but she is like the coolest girl ever and then we have another bestfriend and she dresses in bright colors, it doesnt matter what you wear, its how you act, and i have tons of things in common with both of my best friends even though we dont wear the same thing, and i just wear everything

Not really. I do like black just don't wear it 24/7

Hmm... only a little. I'm usually seen wearing black clothes, and I can be a little short-tempered... but I never wear make up. I'd say about 15% goth.

EDIT: I only really wear black clothes... my personality is idiotic, hyper, and according to my arch-enemy, I'm a physco :D Not at all gothic! :D

Terms and general meanings tend to change and evolve over time. The original meaning of the word Goth(Gothic) is the meaning that tamaw/pants posted. In today's society, though, it has become a term used to describe a person's "dark" clothing and makeup style. It often includes Victorian-style garments for the "purist" modernday Gothic.

I don't think it's a really bad thing to label your style. Some people just have a distinct style that can be described by a term. I don't mind calling my style "retro"...because that's almost always what it is. I like to wear really fitted, high waisted pencil skirts with a wide belt to cinch the waist when I'm feeling "1950's". When I'm feeling groovy...hehe...I frequently wear bold eyeshadow colors(mostly rich berries or navy blues) with dramatic "cat-eye" or "Cleopatra" style eyeliner, with a nude shimmer lipgloss. Paired with retro minidresses and wide brimmed floppy hats or cute shorts/capris and wedge heels and I'm a happy girl! hehee

When I was in middle school, I went modern-day Goth. In fact, I was the ONLY person in my school to dress that way. The thing was, I wanted to be a contradiction to show other people that you can't judge a book by its cover. I was very kind to other people(albeit shy), I did well in school, and I went to church every week. I kind of made it my goal to show people that others aren't always what you assume they will be. I did it for 2 years, then I started ballroom dancing seriously, so my style changed. I still go into Hot Topic and look around for kicks, though. ;)

I'm not goth. I like black, but I don't wear it every day or anything like that. Today, I'm wearing pink!

Matchy :)

She wasn't yelling, she was explaining something to you. Please stop overreacting when people try to help or correct you.

People: I made this post for answers not to be critasized! So dont yell on here!plz. Sorry for all the missunderstanding! Lets just be calm and answer and chat about what this topic is about!
Please understand that nobody is

yelling here. And everyone here is

calm...o_O I think you just need to

calm down. You don't need to get a little

angered by people who are just stating

the facts.

Don't get mad at me, I was just saying what needed

to be said.

And no I am not a Goth, the thought of being one

freaks me out.

I like to wear bright, colourful clothes, so no, I am definitely not a goth. I would wear black if I was overweight, but I'm not, and I prefer bright clothes to dark ones. And anyway, black clashes with my hair colour XD
