Yes, I've had it, and no, it doesn't hurt. However, sometimes you will get cramps during your period... so that may be uncomfortable.

Imo, it just sort of feels weird coming out. O_O

I've had mine since summer 07, and it has never settled into a normal cycle yet. I once had it for 3 weeks straight :D , and then after that it was kind of normal, and now I haven't had my period for almost 3 months now! Is that normal...

I had it once, for eight days. 3 months later, again, for 3 days. It's been about a month and a half since then, and I just got it. I'm such a freak XD

I have it on the worst dates!

- First day of school

- During a school trip (Which was actually a marathon walk..)

- My aunt's wedding.

=[

I hate it.

^ I've had mine on Thanksgiving this year AND last year. I was afraid of getting it on Christmas, but luckily it started on the 18th. Phew!

Im really getting annoyed with mine.

Is there anyway to stop the blood leaking?

as in, going alll over the bed and stuff, because it is just SO annoying!

mine is medium.

After about a year it hasn't exactly settled, but I think it's getting there.

It just came back around yesterday, and first two days are usually horrible for me now. Not exactly cramping, but feeling bloated to the point where my whole body aches and I want to die. I hate the first few days.. BLOOD EVERYWHAR. D:

-ignores my midwesternyness-

It always does come at the most inconvenient times. I couldn't go to Janelle's, and now I can't go to Nicole's either..

Well it goes a lot heavier when you sleep, so I'd recommend night flow towels/tampons. Talk to your Mum about it. You're both females 8D

Mine does the same thing. D:

I actually bought Always Overnight pads. At first I was skeptical that they'd be different from any other pad, but they really do work. They are much longer, and keep the blood from leaking out the back. Since I started using them, I haven't had any problems.

You could also try putting a towl underneath you, just in case. That way you don't have to keep washing your sheets.

^ I used Platex Gentle Glide, slender light. And I tried the mirror thing, but it made me uncomfortable looking down there.
I'm hoping that by Summer Gym this summer (When I have to swim or I fail - miss one day of swimming you drop a letter grade. Two or more and you fail. D:) I'll have it all figured out. I'll give myself some more time to mature before trying again. I am built small, so that must contribute to why I'm having such a hard time.

My mom suggested putting Vasaline on the applicator to help it slide easier - but I didn't try that.

So I'm just gonna give it some time before giving it another go.

Oh, and thank you.
I tried tampons several times. BUT... I don't have applicator ones, non-applicators ones are very odd and I haven't been sucsessful yet.

My friend said once you go to the darkside [tampons] you can't go back. She loves them and never wants to wear a pad ever again.

I tried the mirror and it disturbed me.

I'm built small too!

[on another note]

Anyone ever got it in the middle of the night? My mumand woke up covered in blood because she didn't wake up. Dad woke her up and was all like 'Omfg blood. your like omg bleeding. Arrr blood!' He doesn't like blood.

^ Hehe :D

I was so afraid of getting mine on aquatics camp. Luckily it started a coupla weeks before that

Actually I'm on mine now. It's nearly finished. Which means I'm not gonna have it for Christmas :(

Also, if you have not had your period for more than 2 years, it is normal to have irregular cycles. It's just your body trying to accustom itself to what's going on ;) If you would like to try using tampons but have trouble, do put some sort of lubricant on the tip of the applicator. Tampons are easiest to insert when your flow is the heaviest.

I had mine for aquatics camp....Oh man, that was horrible! And if my cycle is normal than I WILL get mine for christmas ;)

Oh well...

i've had mine for two years now and am relieved to say i can finally use a tampon :) lol

i actually shouted (pg13) "YES! i can finally stick the da** thing up my a**!"

i hate getting my period on holidays or schools trips xP it was the worst with pads. so uncomfortable shifting, somtimes it rubbed me wrong.

tampons aren't the best either. if your flow is really heavy and you don't have the right kind its torture. i was in art class when it leaked cause i was laughing to hard! thank god i had a mini-pad or that would have been the worst..

Cinder, I've never used a tampon. But I think that something that may help would be to try and find where the blood is coming out of, and when you put it in, aim towards your lower back.

I'd rather use a tampon than a pad, even though I never tried one, since it sounds easier. The wings on the pads I use kept scratching my legs, and if it doesn't have wings, it doesn't stay in place for very long :p

My period came a few weeks early. Not on the holidays, so it's a good thing :(

I need help I just got my period today (I've had it before) and tomorrow we are taking a 10 hr car ride home from our vacation we will only be making a few stops at rest areas Will i surive with a pad in the car for that long?!
