"Sure..." Matsuda mumbled, jumping out of the chair and heading towards the kitchen.

Sakura sighed, walking back to the main room and plopping down in her chair. "I believe Light is in his room doing something..."

L chewed on his thumb, glancing at Sakura as she sat down. "Someone should check on him. Mogi, could you go to his room?" Mogi nodded and stood up, walking out of the room.

Sakura sat back in her chair and released another sigh.

Matsuda walked back into the main room with a cup of coffee, setting it down in front of L.

Mello walked back into the room, plopping back down next to Matt.

Light was in his room, thinking over his plan to find the new Kira with someone else, since his recent list of people was put on surveillance.

"Thank you, Matsuda," L muttered, pulling the sugar bowl towards himself. He glanced at Sakura again, then turned back to the screens and added some sugar cubes to his coffee.

Matt looked up at Mello as he walked in. "Have you hidden the mountain of chocolate?"

Sakura leaned forward and began typing.

Matsuda nodded and went to sit at his computer.

Mello smirked. "Of course."

L picked up his spoon and stirred his coffee, his eyes never leaving the screens above him. "I'll stay on watch for tonight," he said, lifting his cup.

Matt rolled his eyes again. "I'm surpised you managed to get it all in your room."

Mogi walked up to Light's door and knocked on it.

Sakura looked over at L. "I'll help for half."

Mello smirked. "Oh, shut up."

Light snapped out of his thoughts and looked over at the door. "Uh.... Come in."

 

[.chasm.]

L nodded, not looking away from the screens to face Sakura. "You two need to take over at some point tomorrow," he said, lifting his spoon from his cup and sucking on it.

"No," Matt said, poking Mello. He looked over at L. "Oh, right...okay."

Mogi pushed the door open and stood in he doorway. "Ryuuzaki asked me to check on you."

Sakura sighed and began tapping her fingers silently on the desk, puffing her cheeks out with air in boredom. She didn't really have anything to do.

Mello glanced over at L. "No problem."

Light nodded. "Does he want me in the main room?"

 

[.chasm.]

L took a sip from his cup, still staring at the screens. "I don't think there is much else for us to do until we have more leads, apart from watching the cameras and making a note of all of the deaths."

Matt sat up, holding his DS out so Mello could see too. "Wanna see me beat everyone on Mario Kart?"

"I don't know, he just said to check on you," Mogi said, closing the door behind himself.

Sakura was still sitting there puffing her cheeks out.

Mello looked over at Sakura and saw what she was doing. He snickered slightly and then turned to Matt's DS. "Sure, hah."

Light shrugged. "Alright then."

L finally looked over at Sakura, sipping his coffee again. "You don't have to sit here now, if you don't want to."

Matt grinned, tapping something on the screen. "I am the master at this."

"Are you coming back into the room?" Mogi asked, looking around the room.

Sakura instantly deflated her cheeks when she heard L. "Alright," She stood and began walking for the door. "I'll be going to my room."

Mello smirked. "Oh really?"

Light stood and stretched his shoulders. "Sure, why not?"

 

[.chasm.]

"Okay," L said quietly, putting his cup back down on the desk and looking back up at the screens. "Matsuda?"

"Yeah, really," Matt said, grinning. "Look, I'm about to start this race, and I'll win it."

Mogi turned and opened the door again, waiting for Light.

Sakura walked into her room and closed the door. She went over to her dresser with a grin and pulled out her iPod. "Haven't listened to you for awhile...." She plugged it into her iPod stereo and turned on her favorite song, Situations- Escape the Fate.

Mello grinned. "Good luck."

"Yes?" Matsuda turned to look at L.

Light walked out the door and waited for Mogi in the corridor.

"Can you get e some of the cookies?" L asked, resting his chin on his knees.

"Oh look, Rocket Start," Matt said, grinning. "I am so gonna wi--GODAMMIT, SOMEONE OVERTOOK ME. Oh, it is on."

Mogi walked out of the room an closed the door behind him, falling into step with Light.

Sakura began bobbing her head to the music, turning it up a bit. "The situations... Are irrelevant now... She loves the way that I tease.. I love the way that she breathes..."

Mello laughed and continued watching.

Light walked into the main room. "Ryuuzaki, did you need me for anything?"

Matsuda nodded and stood, going to the kitchen.

L shook his head, pushing his thumb to his lip. "No. I just wanted to know what you were doing. You were in there a while."

"Shut up, Mello," Mat said through clenched teeth, staring at the screen. "I'm gonna catch up..."

Sakura sighed and got tired of the song. She walked up to her stereo and found the perfect song to listen to. Sexy Naughty bi***y Me.

Mello smirked. "You're on your last lap and you still haven't caught up....."

Light nodded. "Ah..."

Matsuda returned to the main room, setting a small plate of neatly arranged cookies in front of L.

"Thank you, Matsuda," L said quietly, picking up one of the cookies. "I was wondering if it was like before, but obviously not," he said to light, not elaborating further.

"I'm gonna...Dammit!" Matt groaned and buried his face in Mello's arm. "I'm gonna kill that person."
