can people get bored of playing the same toy over and over?

There are people who could easily get bored of the samething... That is always why they make more. If you play with it the same way each time... well ya. The connections (To me) seem like they are almost never the same...

Like the v4/v4.5, different jobs you can choose from, different characters based on those 3 main points in the status... that sort of thing. I wouldn't get bored of that one for sure just because of the numbers and different ways you can get different characters....

Its all in the way you care for your tama and how often you really play with it.

Yeah I always get into tamas a few months a year. Usually I get into them in the summer cuz i have time to use them. When school starts I usually get into something else.

I find that different versions of tamas and virtual pets offer different things. Some are really challenging like the Oceangotchi, and some are more laid back and easy going to take care of.

I collect different versions (I try to get one of each version or type of pet) so that I have a variety to choose from and also different levels of care needs depending on what I will be doing.

I wanted to bring a virtual pet with me while I was driving a few states over to visit family in law, but I didn't think I could keep a tama alive specially since they tend to be needy (needing attention about every hour or so...), but my Gyaoppi was just the ticket and took neglect pretty well on the trip LOL. So yes, I think you can get bored of playing the same thing a lot, but if you have a few to switch between you should be okay.

Yeah, of course it is possible.

Thinking back to the original Tamagotchi and such, I can believe that it would be very boring, albeit retro, because of the fact there weren't any shops. No jobs, music, careers, etc. You just had to take care of them and then wait for you to have to take care of them again. Hands down.

So, it happens.

But, I love the v4. Well almost all the connections, they're so diverse and unique. And even then, I am sure that people could get bored of them. I have yet to be bored by a Tamagotchi, especially this one, as it differs so much, and gives you the chance to strive for so many different jobs.

So I can't see myself or anyone I know that might get one or have one, getting bored of the v4, but I know it could happen, of course.
