(Thanx, I added that she hasn't met Syn yet, because I plan on making her downfall happen pretty quickly.)
"Tsk." Cecil glared at the monster, and said, "Look. Die nicely and quickly and give me your remnants so I can get the fudge out of here before the others show up. I want to get a proper night of sleep, and to do that, I need a lot of remnants." She shot away at it with her handguns, wishing she had a gigantic machine gun or grenade launcher or something that would be more efficient.
Mint was sitting in her room at home, busy stitching up a teddy bear she had been working on making for the past few weeks. She worked quietly, and slowly, wanting to make the bear look good. This was the only thing that really made her happy, and her room was her only escape from her classmates. Not all of them bullied her, but the ones that did made her miserable, and the fact nobody reached out to her made her feel so unhappy. She found herself on the verge of tears as usual, and she put down her teddy bear to cry. That was when she heard the voice. "Are you lonely?" The voice came from a strange, white creature sitting on her windowsill.
