Josh, too, was fighting a monster, and it was really annoying him. It had the habit of continually changing its form, meaning that he would go to slice off its head and it would suddenly be in a completly different place. Gritting his teeth as he kept his forcefield up, he watched it lunge and be rebounded for a few moments before suddenly darting forwards himself. It wasn't exactly a clean kill, but it still did the job - killing off the monster and getting him remnants.

Runner...........? What about my form?

(Aqua, your form didn't really change much from the form I rejected the first time. Why did your character let fear rule her life? Fear of what exactly? Judging from her wish, I'm guessing she fears people tricking her and using her, but if that's the case, why is so so talkative and confident, even after her wish? BTW, your power sorta doesn't work in this RP, and this isn't like Lucario or anything who can see if someone is a good person or not by their aura, this is the real world... So the power kinda doesn't work in terms of seeing through peoples souls and auras and stuff. But it is okay in terms of seeing through illusions and disguises and stuff.)

Cecil finally managed to shoot down the big yellow blob, and watched it tumble to the ground. She bent over to pick up the remnants, when suddenly, she saw a little yellow blob appear. Cussing, she shot it, and then glanced around, looking for any more of the little jerks. Finally, seeing there were none left, she bent over, picked up the remnants, and put away some in her pocket, while also pushing some onto her ring.

After deciding that he was sufficiently backed up on remnants to save most of them, Josh pocketed a good deal before adding one or two to his ring. Putting his sword away, he continued walking through the grounds, just in time to see Cecil finish off the yellow blob. "Well, that looked like fun."

 

[Runner]

Cecil was about to climb back over the fence, but was stopped by Josh. Spinning around, she said, "Fun, my butt. Given the choice, I wouldn't do this. But that stupid little creature thingy keeps telling me to collect remnants anyway. I don't get the point of remnants.. Other than to keep your ring shiny. Which is the only reason I guess I use it, since that stupid thing told us to never take our rings off, and I don't want to be caught dead wearing a filthy thing on my finger. Then again, it doesn't matter."

"I guess I should have expected such a rant from you, Cecil." Josh commented dryly, taking his glasses off for a moment as he wiped his face with his sleeve. "And I guess I don't mind doing this. I suppose it helps me... a little." Sighing, Josh replaced his glasses, blinking as his eyes focused and the world became clear again. "Sticking around here or...?"

Alex spun one of her knives between her fingers. She tilted her head when she spotted Cecil and Josh. She sauntered forward with care, still looking out for any lurking monsters. She had some remnants in her bag from the night before, just in case she didn't run into any monsters tonight. She stopped spinning her knife and sighed, wondering if she should approach Cecil and Josh. Finally, she decided it wouldn't hurt and walked up to the pair. "You guys collected any remnants tonight?" she asked shyly.

 

[Runner]

Cecil was about to reply back to Josh when she was stopped by Alex's appearance. "Nope. I don't have any, unfortunately. Josh does, though. He just beat up a monster." She had no desire to share her remnants, because she wanted to save them so she didn't have to go monster hunting every night. If she had enough remnants saved up for a night, she wouldn't have to worry about hunting and could get a proper night of sleep.

Alex nodded. "I see...." she mumbled, beginning to spin the knife between her fingers once more. She released a heavy sigh and began rocking back and forth on her feet. She flicked her gaze all around, still watching for monsters that could pop up. She was beginning to get cold and shivered slightly. She placed her bag on the ground and slid her sweatshirt on quickly. She grabbed her bag and slung it back over her shoulder.

Seeing some others, Tommy walked over, putting his remnants in his pocket. With his past history, he wasn't too social with the others who had gotten powers, but did talk to them. Tommy hid a lot about himself from them, hoping not to be judged for some of the decisions he had made since he had received his powers. "Hey guys, how's the hunt?" He asked calmly, not wanting to reveal his own success tonight. He had a feeling the remnants were very important, and Tommy thought that keeping his findings of the remnants secret would come in handy, so if there would be a sudden disappearance of monsters, the others would not come to him for his remnants.

 

[Runner]

What's with all these idiots? Cecil resisted the urge to punch them all out, mug them, and run off. She didn't show her irritation on her face as she replied to Tommy, "It's going fine. I don't have any remnants, though, if that's what you're after. Now, anyway, I'll be off. Bye." She walked off, and decided to check out the other side of the school, where the pool was, to see if there were any monsters.

"Nice talking to ya, Cecil." Josh muttered as Cecil walked off before turning to the others. He didn't know these two as well as some of the others... but since Cecil had oh-so-nicely revealed he had remnants, and he was kinda well known, he really had no choice but to talk to them. "Yeah, I've got remnants to spare, I guess..."

Alex watched as Cecil left, her eyes narrowed ever so slightly. She then cast her glance back to Tommy and Josh, muttering something under her breath. After a moment or two, Alex broke from her thoughts and snapped back to reality. "Oh? I haven't really had all that great of a night so far." she told both of them quietly, not bothering to mention the several remnants tucked away in her bag.

In his head Josh was debating what to do. He had already decided he was backed up enough on remnants, and giving some to this girl would keep her alive longer or whatever it was the remnants did... "Well, I've only just started. But I'm sure I'll do well, so..." He fished two remnants out of his pocket, holding them out and looking at the girl. "If you're in need of a boost..."

As tempted as Alex was to accept the few remnants, she shook her head. "Oh.... No...... It's fine...." she told him, pushing his hand back as gently as she could. "I was just wondering how your hunt was going..." she explained, smiling slightly. "Thank you for offering, though." She said, continuing to spin her knife between her fingers. (Spinning her knife is sort of like a comfort thing, I guess... xD)

After scaling yet another fence, Cecil found herself standing by the school pool. Sure enough, a monster came out of the pool, one that looked quite a bit like an octopus, but at the same time like a weird fish. It began to attack her, and she quickly began to move away from the giant tentacles, and then heard a loud smash from the tentacle breaking the cement around the pool. Darn. It was going to definitely catch the attention of the other hunters.

"If you're sure..." Josh allowed his hand to be pushed back, eventually taking control of it himself and putting it back in his pocket, dropping the remnants to join the others. "And hey, the might's still young, and these things are all over the place." Didn't he know it. Shaking the thoughts away, Josh struggled for a new topic of conversation, one that came to him in the form of a loud crashing noise. "...Did you hear that?"

(Our first sacrifice:

Name: Mint Collins

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Personality: Mint is an extremely shy girl, to the point she barely talks at all. She's the girl who sits in the corner of the classroom and does her work quietly, not bothering to talk to any of her neighbors. She's extremely kind, and gentle, to the point of gullibleness, and she always seems to find a way to get kicked around by others. If she gets bullied, she's the type who won't say anything and will just hold it in. That is what led to her depression, because she was alone and hurting. When Syn came to her, she made her wish. Unfortunately, she still gets kicked around by others, but isn't as lonely anymore.

Looks: Mint has curly, brown hair, and blue eyes. She is small, only 5'0, and has a small frame. This leads to her getting mistaken as a child a lot.. Since her chest is also pretty flat too (|D), that also sort of contributes to that. She wears simple, girly clothing, like skirts and cardigans and stuff. She will never be caught wearing revealing clothing or anything tomboyish.

Power: To bring life to stuffed animals. However, she can only do it to certain animals.

Weapon: Her stuffed animals. Her favorite, this big butt teddy bear (https://mikedw96.devi...-bear-196196718), is her main weapon, which she can ride on top of and it can swipe and attack like a real bear. Naturally, since they are teddy bears, they do have weakness, after all...

Wish: Mint's wish was that her stuffed animals would come to life, since she's such a loner.

Other: Not much. She hasn't met Syn yet, but will and then will soon suffer horribly. Our first victim |D

"I'm sure." Alex nodded and crossed her arms over her chest. She was still flicking her eyes around, almost as if she were nervous for some reason. Not spotting anything in the area they were in, she let her glance settle on Josh once more. "That is true... I'm sure I'll find s-" she cut off when she heard the crashing noise. "Yeah.... I did... Should we go see what it was?"
