WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Keitai tama arrived today! Mum was just driving me home and she said there was a parcel on the front door, so I wentt to pick it up, and...she said there was Japanese writing on the box! I went mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hurried inside, the excrutiating heat and my other tamas forgotten, tore open the box, removed the bubble wrap, and took out the little box! It's quite a different sort of case to the Connection/Connexion boxes, kind of like the box of a micropet (if you know what that is), but without the back, and on a card. I tore that open too, and took out my brand new Keitai Akai!

For about 10 seconds I stood there, savering the moment, and then, I pulled the tab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A long note issued from the tamagotchi, and I realised that it has the same kind of sound as the version 1 tamas that don't have a heartbeat! Which is fine by me because it's my favourite kind of sound!

! With a little difficulty, I set the time and date, with Mum helping me. A few minutes after I had registered my birthday and finished up, my Keitai hatched! I'm not sure if it was a Haatotchi or Shirohaatotchi (boy or girl heart babies). After unsuccessfully tackling the three games, playing around a bit and feeding my little baby, he went to sleep (I'll call it a he until I know). I've discovered a few groovy new sounds, such as when you lose a game or punish your tama, it makes this funny sound, and when you praise it when it doesn't need it, it makes...the kind of sound that it makes when you punish it for beeping for no reason, but only the first note.
This is the layout:
First is health metre. When you press the middle button you get:
Hunger/Happiness>gp>training (?)>age/weight/name (which I can't read)>generation/gender.
The food menu consists of:
Food/snack>(choose from some options.
The poop icon is the same.
The games are:
Some game with three rubbish bins where you have to catch something...(?), a betting game where you bet a certain amount of points and you bet where your tama will come (first, second or third) in a running race, and a game that I do not get...kinda like Heading maybe?
In Connect, you have the options of connecting with a Keitai (first option), a Plus (second option), a Deka (third option), and a mobile phone (last option). You can only connect to Connection/Connexion if you choose "Plus" on your Keitai/Akai, and you choose "version 1" on your version 2! Funny thing is, it doesn't work if you try to connect a v1 and a Keitai/Akai! Weird eh!
Praise/punish is the same, but it makes the weird noise when you loose a game when you punish it for no reason.
Sickness is the same.
As are lights.
Now this part is weird. I think it's where you store items and friends, but there's also somewhere where you can donate Gotchi Points to the Gotchi King, so that he'll clean up your tama's poop for you. I don't really get how this works.
Here are the answers to all the questions that I wanted answered before I got a Keitai:
No, you can't pause a Keitai, only put it on Set like a Connexion v1.
No, you can't connect till your Keitai is a child.
No, the arial isn't big, just like a phone arial (maybe a bit bigger).
Yes, the entire screen is in Japanese accept for the numbers!
Yes, there are new characters.
And yes, it's dang well worth getting! (Tell me if I should edit that
).
I absolutely love it!
Now to other new, bad news... pril died, probably when I went to get something (I was watching Blue Heelers), because I didn't hear her. I did a little fiddling with the Rom Test etc, but now I named the new one Angel, I think. S/he's on Set right now, too engrossed in my Keitai!
