Tons of people have been hating on Tamagotchis since the V5, and Bandai is trying. They come out with more versions but ever since V5 there is always a big group of haters, if people do that every time a new version comes out, one day they'll stop.

You're completly ignoring the good things of some versions, and only looking on the bad side making the whole version seem bad. The Tama-Go is one of my favorite versions, I've been running it for eight generations! If some people only want simple tamagotchis with no Park, or Resturaunt, I guess none of you want a coloured screen Tamagotchi.

Thats how I feel. I'm not trying to offend anyone ;)

Kuribotchi, I agree with you. It seems like some folks forget about their favorite version and just whine and complain about how the Music Star's not like the v3 or the Tama-go isn't like some other version that they loved. It's not like older versions don't exist, and many of the more recent ones can be ordered offline now, for cheaper than their initial retail cost. So you don't like the latest gen of Tamagotchi? Call it a "collectible" and don't buy anymore. In the meantime, you can run your favorites. Even the original 1997 'gotchis are still available and in working condition, if that's your inclination.

As I was trying to say earlier (I don't think I did the best job of it, though), different people like tamas for different purposes. Some like for it to be a simple companion that you can care for and raise while you go about your daily activites, such as homework, cooking, shopping, etc. While others like the more complex features of raising job skills with some kind of ultimate goal to look forward to. However, and this is just my observation, I think the one thing people do have in common is the wish for a color screen. What if Bandai makes a color-screen Tamagotchi, but it's not your style? You like the color screen, but you think the gameplay is boring, for example. Meanwhile, someone else is of the opinion that it's the perfect pet! I suppose what I'm trying to say is that with a customer base that holds such varying opinions on what is best, it's pretty much impossible for Bandai to make a tamagotchi product that matches everyone's sense of what is "ideal".

@ Kuribotchi Thanks! Maybe we are being a little negative. I don't have the Tama-Go, I kinda want it. Sorry if this is insulting, but I was just basing my ideas of it on what others say.

@SugarBunny Like I said earlier, we need to look at both sides of the story. I know that Bandai is trying to do its best with the upcoming products of Tamagotchi, but I feel as if they should put more concern into their buyers' opinions. It seems like they don't care of our opinions, but, honestly, that's all they can really base and edit their new tamagotchis on.

I hope Bandai reveals that it cares about customer opinions and stuff, because it really just doesn't seem like it. Also, after contemplating on this for a little while, and I kinda figured out something. The "Oh-My-Gotchi!" contests, or the days where they gave out free Tama-Go's: do you think it was a trick to get a better image of Bandai's Tama-Go? Or just of Bandai? I believe Bandai has heard what we say, but doesn't want to diverge from the original plans. I honestly hope we can accomplish something. The Tamatalk Guides always work to get us new, pre-release info, so I hope this can help. Also, just realized Bandai is being a little careless. With the time setting on the Music Star? Come on, Bandai, we KNOW you can do better than that!

Well, thats just a small thing. You probably live in America so that was the only time you had to do the date the other way around. But here in NZ, we do the date the other way around, so I have to set the date the other way every time which is a bit of a pain.

But even though it is annoying to do, I still do it, because I love Tamagotchis ;)

To be honest, I love my tamagotchis as they are. So long as they get mail, connect, and work they're fine for me. -kisses v.4- I love you :3

(Btw, I have v4,v4.5,v3,familitchi).

I hate familitchi :l

I saw that some users email Bandai. I think is normal for them to say " no" because they just release Tama-Go. ;)

I'm sure that Bandai America will release a color Tamagotchi because they say that Tama-Go is like Tamagotchi plus color. So be optimistic!

Or you simple buy a Japanese Tamagotchi if you can wait. :)

My opinion.
