Well, show them how responsible you can really be! Show them all your research and how much you know about each breed. ;) And if they still say no, try asking them why not, and then you'll get your answer and wait or improve on what you need to. :D Do the best you can in everything you do, push yourself to do everything you know you are supposed to do, maybe even do a little extra for your parents! B) Good luck, and I hope you get your puppy, kandi kween! PM me if you need any more info on the breeds, because I have a book I can look it up in. ;)

I don't really have any but I would like to hear some, too! I'm trying to convince my dad to get my a Nintendo Wii. Thankfully Peter (My dad's insane gamer friend) Has told Daddy that their are all ups and no downs to this game system!

Maybe try to strike a bargain.... (I tryed but my dad said i have to earn it, but problem is i dont know what i need earn it in in? Math, maybe?) ANYWAY It worked for my friend.....

A puppy is a big responsibility, so make sure you know what you're getting into before you get it!

If you're certain you will be able to take care of one, I'd sit down with your parents and talk about getting a puppy.

Be sure to listen to what they have to say, even if you don't like it. :p

If your parents decide that this isn't a good time to get a puppy, you could always help out at your local animal shelter. This is a good way to still be around dogs, and show that you're responsible and committed to the dogs.

I did this over the summer, and it was the next best thing to actually owning a dog. :D

U all hit really good points... actually i volenteer at new leashes on life (a shelter that doesnt euthanize) and thats what made me want to get a puppy :] I have a ton of time for a playful pup too. :]

If your parents say no It's usually for a good reason.

Obviously no means no.

But if you really want this dog prove it to them that you can be responsible.

If you're still in school get your grades up and maybe buy a plant and make sure it doesn't die.

Maybe you'll only have to do it for a few months before they see how responsible you can be!

Good luck!

Try saying: "Please Mum and Dad, I would love to have a puppy...It would be another friend for me...I get lonely somethimes and would love a new pal...

OR:

"I'm going to look after the puupy so well...I promise I'll do everything! Don't worry."

Or:

Keep looking out for puppies and ussing them and saying:

"AWWW, how cute..."

Thats my advice... :furawatchi:

The do anything quote is just asking for backfiring. You say that, and you will be expected to do ANYTHING, including chores you don't like and perhaps other stuff  IMO I'd avoid that.

Most people made points of showing responsibility. Show the research, show them how'd you take care of the puppy and what you would do if this happened or that happened. Being prepared is giving you the advantage in caring for an animal :nazotchi:

wow guyz :] all great advice!!!! i have lots of plants so i can point out how green they are :]

Show them you can be responsible, like cleaning up after yourself and things like that. Also maybe ask if you can babysit someones dog to prove you can take care of one. Make a promise that you will be commited to taking care of it and everything like that. Show them how much you know about dog care and this specific breed, so they'll know you reasearched and know what to do in an emergency and things like that.

Sit down with your parents and talk this over, and listen to their reasons if they say no, because most likely it is reasonable, like not enough money or not room, things like that. Don't interupt and say "Aww! Why not!" just go with the flow, state you opinion and what they say goes.

Go to your tamagotchi, PARENTS.

and show them how good you take care of your pixels...

LOL

For me It took 6 years to get my pup,but I suggest to be pacient. If you don't want to, Tell your mom or dad about your tamas!

Lol!!! My mom told me she wants a pom real bad (when my dad wasnt around) Yay there is hope!!! But my dad is real stubborn. i mean REALLY REALLY stubborn

I just kept saying chughagh (SP) over and over again (Not for you to do XD) and my parents kept saying no but I kept saying it and was reaseaching ALOT so my parents got me a collie puppy!

Blaze then- https://i16.tinypic.com/2d0l6hu.jpg

Blaze now- https://i15.tinypic.com/2h49dt3.jpg

But now try this

Puppys can be a lot of work, and they aren't just a peice of cake, they may be cute but be sure you can have enough space for it and enough time, between activities, remeber just because you got a dog dose't meen you hafe to give up that shelter :mametchi:

Awww collies are adorble!!!!! I have plenty of time cause i quit tennis a bit back so i have nothing to do

This is what I did to get one of my pets: Write a book talking about the animal you want (which would be a dog) and the kind of breed you want, then talk about what you have to do to take care of the dog, then say that you will take care of the dog in the book. Besides the book you have to prove to your parents you are rersponsible enough to take care of a dog. Hope I helped ^_~!
