"Yeah. As much as I want to go home and curl up with my laptop..." Faylinn sighed, before hesitating. and asking "Damien... why were you just going to give yourself up?"
"I want to try and bring that Ember boy back to life to help us. You know it's possible, and it would make sense. And fun."
"Only the one, if I remember correctly." Scarlett wrapped her arms around Rain's neck. "Would you be willing to excuse him if he helps with these two?"
Faylinn shuffled awkwardly, glancing up at Damien. "We, uh, should probably move faster."
"I know you're not happy about this." Scarlett said quietly, before giving Rain a quick kiss. "But this is one of the easiest ways to sort this out." Unless he goes against us.
Faylinn was lost in her own thoughts, walking along next to Damien without any real clue of where they were going. Eventually, she snapped back into the real world. "I think we should get out of this town."
"So, what, it's easier and safer to just sit at home?" Faylinn said, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Somehow, I feel it's not..."
"Thank you." Scarlett smiled, pulling away. "I'll find some immortals, tell them to go find Ember. I'm not touching a dead body unless absolutly necessary." She told Rain, examining her nails. "Oh, the immortals that we sent out to find them died. Killed, to be exact."
"Suppose... I guess I'll do it again in a few years. Seeing as I'm going to look this way forever." Faylinn sighed. "I would have thought becoming a vampire would have made me look prettier as well..."
"No." Scarlett frowned, stepping backwards. "I'm just taking the facts and acting upon them. Isn't that what we're meant to do?"
Faylinn's cheeks turned bright red, and she looked away quickly. "Um... thanks." She said quietly, laughing nervously. "But I really don't believe you."
