Lilith narrowed her eyes, still scowling. She leaned back and crossed her arms, pushing herself as far away as possible from Cye. "Do that again and I'll light you up."

Cye continued to frown. "How do you know Rose?" he asked, hoping to get an answer this time.

"Why should I tell you?" Lilith asked sharply, shooting a glare.

"Because Rose meant everything to me. I just wanna hold onto what little I have left of her."

Lilith sighed. "She was my sister..." she muttered under her breath.

"Oh...oh." Cye said softly, understanding the resemblance now. He felt horrible thinking Lilith was Rose, and was afraid he would make the mistake again. He needed to break the awkward silence. "You're just like your sister. In every way."

Lilith snapped her gaze up to Cye and shook her head. "No, I don't. I'm fine."

"It could be good to talk. I don't only want to be allies, I want to be friends Lilith."

Lilith clenched her fists. "I don't make friends with anyone. Trying to become my friend is a wasted effort."

(lol I have no idea what's going on so:)

Alice watched them go before running off, slightly relieved. If she could get to one of the main cities, she'd be okay...

Lilith crossed her arms and curled up into a ball, not saying anything.

I hate you.

Cye woke up in the morning, still tired. He then did something stupid, and mistaken Lilith for Rose again, kissing her on the cheek. "Wake up babe, we got a big day."

Lilith woke abruptly and shoved Cye away. "I'm not Rose!" she yelled angrily.
