"That's.. Good, then, I guess.. I like you, too," Christien replied, finding it difficult to phrase a sentence that simply made him seem glad that she liked him as a friend, and that was the sort of extent of liking he wanted to hear about and knew she had for him.

Elaina sighed, having a mental battle about whether or not too really speak up about her feelings. "Okay, Christien, listen," her own voice surprised her when she started to speak but she somehow continued, "I guess I don't really know you all that well. But, you're handsome, sweet, and caring and so, yes, I guess I do like you...more than a friend. And, it's okay if you don't feel the same! I just wanted to tell you truthfully."

Christien nodded in acknowledgement of her words. He had wanted to know, because in a few of those silent situations, or when they were close, he had no idea how and in what way she was thinking about him. He had finally come up with a comeback for one of her last comments-- about the fact that he couldn't annoy her--, but he didn't want to say it, because it would seem incredibly insensitive considering she'd just told him how she felt about him. "I'm sorry, it wasn't fair to ask you that so soon. I mean, you're right, it hasn't been long, and we don't know each other too well. But I wanted to know, because I do like you. But I maybe shouldn't have asked you since we only met each other a few days ago."

Elaina shifted a bit away from him, a twinge of unease filling her gut. "No, it's fine. I mean, I'm not sure, I guess. We haven't really known eachother for very long, I could just really like your company." She doubted her words a bit but, in a way, they really could be true, so she'd stated them. She released his hand and placed both of hers on her lap, twidling her thumbs and looking off into the distance, not really knowing where to go from here. Christien had sounded doubtful as well, or at least in her mind, so Elaina decided to just say nothing more. Hoping that silence would help the situation. Whatever the situation even was.

Christien bit the inside of his lip thoughtfully, contemplating what she'd said to him. Because the fact that she had suddenly come to doubt her feelings made him feel less sure of his own now, as well-- maybe she was right, that they just liked each other's company. "I think.. You might be right.. And to know whether you are or not, will take some more time. So I won't ask you about it again anytime too soon." He only hoped that things wouldn't stay too awkward between the two of them now, thanks to his bright idea for conversation, and he also secretly hoped that their doubts proved to be irrational.

Elaina stiffled a sigh and nodded at his input. Despite her words, she actually was pretty greatly sure of her feelings...but she didn't know if he was, at all. So, her only solution, in her eyes, was to try and forget about liking him. Though, as he would be the only person she'd see, and be around, it was going to be fairly hard. As, right at that moment, all she wanted to do was kiss him. "Okay." She murmured.

Christien was thinking exactly the same thing about Elaina's feelings-- about whether she was really that doubtful about the fact that she thought she liked him, and, if she wasn't, then whether she was as sure as he was that he didn't just like being around her because she was a nice person. "Okay," he said, as well. Though, despite his agreement, and despite everything he'd just said before that, he willed himself to move forward, closer to her. Truth was, everything he'd said was him being cautious; he'd been hurt the last time, and he also didn't want to make Elaina uncomfortable. But his logic was, things could stay the way they were, and they would wait, or he could just.. try something. On the one hand, it could just make everything more awkward. But what if it was what she wanted? Then things would be better, and he wouldn't know until he.. he just leaned in, his movement and their breathing the only sounds in the otherwise silent moment, and pressed his lips against hers very gently.

Elaina's hazel eyes widened hugely, light streaming into her eyes and creating a stinging sensation, but she was just so surprised. Hesitating for a moment, she finally closed her eyes and let her lips respond, opening a bit and closing the tiny distance still remaining.

Christien had been ready to read the hesitation from Elaina. Too long, and clearly she didn't want him to. But she did kiss him back before he thought he'd waited long enough, and that made him happy, because he was very conscious of her thoughts and feelings, and he didn't want to upset her by doing something that crossed the line, as it were. He continued to kiss her for a little bit longer, and then pulled back, still trying to know what to make of it for himself. He smiled, though, now, at last.

Elaina's lips turned upward and a rosy blush filled her cheeks as she looked at him. "Um, wow." She couldn't help but say it, she was really, increadibly shocked, and not to mention quite blissfull. She'd read him as completely uninterested but she happily admitted she was wrong. Or, she hoped she was. Hopefully, he was doing this for himself and not just to amuse her.

Christien smiled a little more widely now, actually chuckling to himself at her reaction, because it just made him happy that she was happy with what had just happened, not to mention the effect it had on himself. In fact, he'd liked it so much that he leaned in for another. It was shorter, but more of a kiss, for lack of a better description, than the last, cupping her face in one of his hands. He then said, in reply to her previous comment, "Wow is right."

"I uh, I thought-" Elaina wasn't able to finish her sentence nor thought process because she scooted much closer to him, intertwined her fingers in Christien's hair, and put her lips, with much more passion this time, into his. She couldn't help herself. It was just a mixture of the pleasentness from the kiss and the fact that he'd liked it as much as she did.

Christien was glad that she'd stopped talking at the expense of another kiss. Particularly this time, because both knew the other wanted to, and because this kiss suddenly felt more electric, more real, than the last ones. He matched her passion, pulling her closer to himself yet, and smiling against her lips.

Elaina released a little giggle, not necissarily laughing at him or herself, just having a good time. She pressed herself a bit more against him and parted her lips a little, taking the lead a bit.

Christien smiled wider yet, as much as kissing her this way would allow, anyway, when she giggled. He hadn't told her the things about her, things that she did, that he really liked, and the sound of her voice and her laugh were just a couple. He parted his lips as a permission signal to her, when he felt hers do so first.

Elaina grinned as she slipped a bit of her tongue in, as she felt his lips turn upward as his smile grew. She hadn't known whatsoever that this guy who'd help her cope with a limp wrist and the tragic event of being stranded on an island, would be the guy that she somehow had come to like a lot within a few days.

Christien french kissed her now, when he knew she was ready, even more passionately now with her than he had been before. He would agree with her that ending up kissing Elaina, and wanting to be more than just her friend was something he hadn't considered at all until just now, and the thought still surprised him now, really, but he couldn't begin to explain how glad it made him, and how much he enjoyed being intimate with her.

Elaina enjoyed the kissing thuroughly, but pulled away, wanting to hear his voice, hear his reaction to what had just happened. "Are you glad this happened?" she asked slowly, as if the kiss had caused her difficulty with thinking, which is what actually had happened a bit. She leaned into him and nuzzled her head in the crook of his neck a bit, making sure to avoid her limp arm.

Christien kissed her hair delicately and said softly, "I'd be quite surprised if you thought I wasn't, Elaina. I'm very happy, because I really do like you very much." He held her to him, very carefully and also taking care to not touch her arm, just in a gentle embrace to satisfy his longing to be close to her.

Elaina let go of a relieved sigh and placed gentle butterfly kisses along his neck. "I really like you too. I just wasn't sure what you were feeling because of...I don't know." She said against his warm skin, her voice muffled but fairly understandable.
