Youtube Question...

I just heard from my dad something about Myspace getting sued by parents (Well go figure XP)

He also mentioned something about Parents being able to access their childs Youtube account (Possibly thru IP address).......I did a quick Google search and nothing. I was wondering if tis was true as I am very privatial about these type of things (I dont like people Hacking my Email, or Online accounts OR going thru my personal stuff like my room) Is their a site that can tell me? Does anyone know?

My dad mustve heard something about Youtube when at work when listening to Parents accessing MySpace......*shudders* Glad I dont have a Myspace, but what I wonder is how they can do it......I have to tell my friend or her mom will find out she has a Myspace now XI

It would suck to have parents to go through kid's myspace and stuff, but they have all the right to, especailly if your giving out personal info and things like that...

But Youtube? I don't see the need for that though..

Yeah I got lucky one time with that

My dad found Youtube (I was logged on) I came out and was like "ZOMG! He dont rlly like the demon stuff" (I had alot of Inuyasha vids. and weird stuff my dad would hate on their) I got lucky he didnt realized he was on my account, Now I ALWAYS log out

I had a Naruto fandub video. (It had ALOT of curessing in it) and My Mom watched it (I guess she read a YouTube e-mail I got and looked at my faves) and my Mom asked me if Naruto had curessing in it, I told her no. the she mentioned the videos. SOMEHOW she figured out it was mine (I think it was because my brother hates Naruto)

.....The obvious thing is log out? My parent's don't do that, I'm sure as heck glad about it, since my parent's are pretty mature.

Breaking into your child's privacy, reading their conversations secretly, or going on their accounts and deleting things is signs that the parent is immature, if the child is 12 or under, that I can understand.

But if you're 13 and your parent's do this, then they are definently not as mature as they should be.

Only exception would be if the child is too secretive, as in, tells their parent's nothing about themself.

Other then that, It's just simple that the Parent is very protective.

well i'm not quite sure about that. however, there is a STUPID comment going around on youtube about some girl named katalalala or something like that and she got killed coming from africa on a grey boat. some man killed her by carving her name onto her back. it says if u don't retype that in a comment she will come to ur house & kill u by doing the same thing the man did to her. please ignore this comment youtubers, for it is stupid and pointless. DON'T FALL FOR IT. IT GOT ME SCARED FOR LIKE 2 DAYS. i'm prettyfae123 on youtube by the way!

It's not really immaturity on their part. They're just being protective and making sure you're being safe on the internet.

My mom was never psycho-protective over me on the internet. Even when I was younger she trusted me not to do anything stupid.
