It is not pre-determined Young Kuchipatchi could become one of 3 things which depends entirely on which skill point you train I would either go for the Tarakotchi or the Kuchipatchi. Anyways whatever Tama it becomes enjoy it!

I wouldn't expect a Kuchipatchi. In my experience, the young characters don't always become the adult they resemble. For example, on my v4.5, I had a Ura Young Memetchi and she became a Horoyotchi. But that's on a v4.5, so I might not have been much help here. :/
